Horror title, Pneumata, has a new trailer out there to let us all creep further into the gruesome horror Pneumata will offer up
Another new horror title has a bunch more to share with us out of the massive Perp Games update we had out there and this one is Pneumata. A new title is on the way from Deadbolt Interactive for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC for later this year. One that will take us into a psychological horror that leans a bit into the cosmic horror too. It sounds as if Pneumata is going to have all of the various horror tropes out there to work its way into our nightmares. So I guess we should dig in and see what the latest trailer for the game looks like and what we can kind of expect to see when the final build is out there for us all to enjoy.
In Pneumata, we are a detective on the case of Clover Hill where tenants just keep going missing. Not only that, but the building seems to be filled with screams, blood dripping from walls, and all manner of other horror things. Instead of calling in a massive CSI, we stay in to investigate as the true survival horror games kicks off with all the gruesome horror lurking that we can imagine. All with their own AI and, hopefully, explanations as to why we find certain weapons in the build as we can expect. Maybe we will make it through the events of Pneumata or maybe we will just go missing as everyone else has. If that sounds interesting to you, then have a look at the latest trailer we have to look at to see how the game has advanced thus far.
Pneumata — New Trailer
The tenants of Clover Hill have gone missing, and it’s up to you to get to the bottom of it. Check out this brand new trailer for Pneumata coming in 2024 to PC & consoles…
The tenants are going missing, screams echo, and blood seeps through the walls of Clover Hill. As a detective, unravel the truth that lies within and recover your fragmented memories, or succumb to the horrors that lurk in the shadows within this sinister blend of Survival & Psychological horror.
Features:
- Psychological and cosmic horror that makes you question what’s real and what’s not; the line between reality and alternate worlds begins to blur.
- True survival horror: scavenge for weapons and supplies in limited quantities and run/hide to survive by any means necessary.
- Examine crime scenes and piece together clues and evidence in order to solve a series of gruesome murders.
- Explore a realistic and gritty apartment building and discover hidden areas and pathways in your search for the truth.
- Diverse AI: fight or hide against entities that are unpredictable and use your environment to create distractions.
- Gruesome horror around every corner and an unending feeling of tension and helplessness as you explore deeper into the complex
I do rather enjoy the premise that we have for Pneumata and am curious to see how it all plays out. It does sound a little odd that we will need to scavenge for weapons and supplies in a realistic apartment, but depending on where in the world this game is located, I guess it could make sense. I just do not see there being a whole lot of options outside of improvised weapons in general. The supplies, on the other hand, all of that feels like it will lend well to the setting. Unless the supplies of Pneumata are something occult related to go with those cosmic horror elements too. This is why it is always hard to throw all of these ideas together and make them work in a solid narrative way. I guess we will see later in 2024 when the game launches.
Have you been up-to-date with Pneumata before now or was this the first you have heard of the game? Do you think that all of these elements will jive together or will it feel a bit out of place in the long run? Will there be a good explanation as to why we find all of the various weapons in the game or will that just be left to “gaming magic?” Tell us your thoughts on all of this down in the comments and then feel free to discuss it all as you so wish. When we have more to share for Pneumata, we will share it all here. Please keep on coming back to see and hear all of that as it comes on out there. I know this one will be worth a solid watch at the very least.
