It is time to find out if Dishonored: Death Of The Outsider will actually have you kill Dishonored’s favorite morally ambiguous character, The Outsider
In just a few days we will all be treated to Dishonored: Death Of The Outsider on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. This is the expansion coming from Arkane Studios for the franchise that will be building off the story of Billie Lurk and Daud and their new goal to kill the Outsider. I guess the title of the game kind of states all of that, but given that this is another Dishonored title, the killing of the Outsider is just an option we can take. At least that is the takeaway from the recent interview clip that Bethesda has just released as we all wait for September 15th to come around. Not that this is not something we could have put together on our own, but now it is there in black and white for us.
In addition to that, they also go into the aspects of the Outsider that we are also going to dive into a bit more here with Dishonored: Death Of The Outsider. That of course being if he is a completely one-sided being or if he is just as ambiguous as we can be in the franchise. He is doling out godly powers to random assassin in the world and then letting them do what they want with said powers. It could just be fate or the Outsider just having some fun as the Death Gods of Death Note do every now and then. Either way we are supposed to get more insight into that with this expansion for Dishonored and then hopefully another full title mixed in at some point.
Dishonored: Death Of The Outsider — The Ultimate Target
Who exactly is the Outsider? Why is he such a beloved character in the Dishonored series? And do you actually have to kill him? Find out more in our latest video.
She’s killed for money. She’s killed for principle. She’s killed to survive. But Billie Lurk has a new reason to pursue her latest target: redemption. In Dishonored: Death Of The Outsider, the fan-favorite character from the Dishonored series is playable for the first time ever – and she’s embarking on her final mission to take down a target like none other: the mysterious god-like Outsider.
Given that Dishonored: Death Of The Outsider is giving us yet another character to play in the universe with their own powers, we should expect there to be new ones here from Arkane Studios. Well, at least new in how they work but still fitting into the general Traversal, Disguising, Attacking, and Exploration. Here we are seeing Displace, the teleportation power where markers are placed for the character to jump to, Void Strike, a charge-up attack, Semblance, the ability to steal another NPCs identity for a multitude of uses, and then Foresight, the ability to leave your body and invisibly scout the map. All pretty much in the vein of the Dishonored franchise at the end of the day.
Will you be heading out to do what Dishonored: Death Of The Outsider states and kill the Outsider here? Will you choose to go all stealth and “ghost” through the world without taking a life? What do you think of the new powers or are they about what you would assume for the game here? Let us know down in the comments and then discuss. If we learn more for Dishonored: Death Of The Outsider before the launch, we will have it here. Keep checking in to make sure you know everything you can for the game here.
