The next Borderlands 3 planet highlight is here as we take a quick look at Promethea as it stands in Borderlands 3
The galaxy of Borderlands 3 is growing yet again as we have one more planet to look at for the game. Just another in the growing list we will get to explore and shoot up when the game hits us on September 13th. It is not at all shocking that we would be seeing yet another one in the mix from Gearbox with the timetables and now we have Promethea to take in. All of the glory, history, and things that will try to kill us. It is the Borderlands way and it should not be too shocking to find all of that out. That or the fact that Rhys is the Atlas CEO here…
Unlike before, we do not get a fully new, flashy, video to usher in this new world for Borderlands 3. We have a nice little clip with a few new screenshots. All so we can see this new home planet and where some of the weapons of the universe came from. Not to mention all of the war that we will most likely get pulled into during the story of Borderlands 3. Video games have to video game and I will be surprised if that does not end up being the case in the longer run. Have a look and see just what I am talking about just a bit lower down the page.
Home to the Atlas corporation headquarters, Promethea is a metropolitan world covered in futuristic towers of chrome and glass. A recent siege by Maliwan has turned the urban environment into a warzone; their mechanized infantry patrol the streets, rodent/insect hybrids known as Ratches infest the sewers and back-alleys, and the Children of the Vault are seizing the opportunity to recruit displaced and disgruntled citizens. Atlas CEO Rhys Strongfork is getting desperate.

Are you ready to take on Promethea in Borderlands 3 or will it be a just a plot point for us to move through to link another game in? Do you agree that it looks like we will be pulled into the war or will it just be a background thing during our time? What other worlds are you looking forward to see in the game or are you trying to stay as surprised as possible still? Give us those thoughts and more down in the comments and then feel free to discuss. When we have more for Borderlands 3, we will add them all here for you. Just be sure to keep checking back in for all of that and more.
