A new behind the scenes video for Life Is Strange: Before The Storm is here to give some insight on the story for these two Life Is Strange characters before launch
In a month, August 31st, we will get our first episode for Life Is Strange: Before The Storm and we’ve seen some fun stuff for it so far. At least enough to see that Deck Nine Games is going to be telling a prequel of sorts from the last title and that it won’t feature the same protagonist and the super time-bending powers. It will feature a few of the others from the Life Is Strange universe for sure but he we are going to see a lot more on the side of things for Chloe and Rachel more than anything. More or less, if you had any questions or interest in seeing more for them then this three-part series will be just what you are looking for to add to the old PS4, Xbox One, or PC.
Given all of that, we have a new behind the scenes video for Life Is Strange: Before The Storm to see just what and how the story between these two girls will shape up and alter along the way of it all. I presume it will lead to the end where the original title will pick up, but maybe there will be a bit of a buffer to explain off why the choices here didn’t affect the opening or story of the main Life Is Strange season. Giving freedom of choice in a prequel that is pretty much directly linked does have a whole lot of things that need to be considered for continuity. At least if we want to aim to keep the whole space-time continuum thing in order when time travel and shifting can be involved later on.
Life Is Strange: Before The Storm — Chloe & Rachel Story Trailer
People are inherently complex. This has been one of the guiding principles fot the developers throughout both Life Is Strange and Life Is Strange: Before The Storm. This idea extends beyond the protagonists of our game to include all characters in the world we are building, but is especially true of both Chloe and Rachel.
I do like that it seems like the voice actors are being given the right kind of direction her for Before The Storm. I’d like to hear some of the other direction that was spoken of, but the whole “you can’t be with the one person you love anymore” thing seemed to pay off well here as the whole scene that I’ve seen play out does fit the exact emotion that would trigger in me. Even the little clips we’ve seen for this part of Life Is Strange is fitting, but maybe a little less violent. Now I am digging too far into myself here and we need to get back to the game here.
Are you ready for Life Is Strange: Before The Storm to launch here or will it be a story that you don’t care about for some reason? Do you think that Deck Nine Games will handle the continuity well given all of the free choices we are being shown to have here or will it be heavy handed in the end? Do you think that this is all in preparation for another season or story from a completely different set of characters at some point? Let us all know down in the comments and then feel free to discuss. For more on Life Is Strange though, be sure to stick around here as we will have it all for you. Don’t miss out on a single bit to get ready for the game and the ‘feels’ it may give you.
