Gamedec Will Be Branching Down Many Lines In Its Story

Gamedec — Narrative Branching

Have a look at how Gamedec will have a host of branching narratives driven by almost any action within Gamedec

In an RPG like we are getting with Gamedec, one could expect it to have a very linear story we will follow down with a few different bits of dialog to share so we can feel like we are in that role. Could being the key word there as that is not the case here for the game and Anshar Studios wants us all to know it. In fact, they have taken to a whole new video for Gamedec to help explain to us how many different narrative paths we can go down in the game and the various ways we can manipulate it all once September 16th rolls on up and we are able to play it on our PC. Does this mean we will have branching stories? Sure, it does. Does it mean we might have completely different endings for the game? Maybe. Now we can see how some of that could all come about.

As it turns out, pretty much any choice and selection you make in Gamedec will have some outcome on the narrative of the game. Creating your character to their professions to the various events you play will open up or close off dialog options in the game. All of which makes sense and will be insanely dynamic from the looks of the profession tree and various other menus we will have to fill as we play. Even if some of the differences only look to be a bit cosmetic and slight word changes from the following trailer. Also, it looks like maybe going dumpster diving at random times could change things up in Gamedec too, but that could just be a cheeky way that the devs are showing how many branches there could be. I just wish there was a list of how many endings we could come to in the investigations based on all of this.

Gamedec — Narrative Branching

Gamedec launches on PC on September 16th this year!

Gamedec is a single-player cyberpunk isometric RPG. You are a game detective, who solves crimes inside virtual worlds. Use your wits to gather info from your witnesses and suspects, getting to the bottom of deceptive schemes. The game continually adapts to your decisions and never judges.

Are you at all surprised that Gamedec will be offering up all of these options to players or did you think it was going to be a linear experience? Do you think we will see more than the minor option changes that we get here or will it be just enough to keep the feel of it all going instead? Would you be interested in seeing various endings in the long run of it all or will you be too bogged down to play the game multiple times already? Give us all of those thoughts down in the comments and then feel free to discuss it all if you so wish to do so. We will have more for Gamedec as we get closer to the launch, so be sure to keep checking in on the site and follow all of our social accounts to make sure you do now miss out on a single thing.
