A new trailer for Planet Of The Apes: Last Frontier is here and we also have a date to expect this Planet Of The Apes story on the PS4
A few months ago, we all caught wind of Planet Of The Apes: Last Frontier that was coming to our PS4, Xbox One, and PC at some point. This is a new branching narrative game from Imaginati Studios that will fill in part of the events that took place between the last two major films in the franchise. Not only that but it will allow us to make choices for both sides of the conflict and not just choosing Humans or Apes and sticking to it. Even though it has only been a short time since it was announced, we can now look forward to Planet Of The Apes: Last Frontier coming to the PS4 on November 21st now and using all of those PlayLink features that are being pushed out there now.
Currently there is not a release date set up for the Xbox One or PC versions of Planet Of The Apes: Last Frontier, but the game is still slated to come to them at some point at this time. I am going to venture a guess that since it is using the PlayLink functionality on the PS4, this is what will be holding things up on the other platforms as I am sure the team is going to be carrying things over to keep things fluid between all of the versions. I could be wrong, so do take that into account when trying to figure it all out on your side as well. That is just my hot take on it at this point. Nonetheless, there will be a version of it out here soon.
If you would like to see what Planet Of The Apes: Last Frontier will look like and some of the story themes it will be touching on, have a look at the latest trailer that has been released for it. You may also want to get updated on the whole Planet Of The Apes films so you can understand where the story is at this point as well. Hopefully Imaginati Studios will have some form of recap for those who want to play the game but have not been engrossed in the films to date. We will know here soon I guess.
Planet Of The Apes: Last Frontier — Announcement Trailer
Set between Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes and War For The Planet Of The Apes films, Planet Of The Apes: Last Frontier thrusts the player into the midst of a mounting conflict between apes and humans as both sides struggle for survival. The game provides the chance to play and empathize with either species, pushing both groups towards either a fragile alliance or an all-out war, with each and every decision made. Allowing up to four players at a time to engage in the story, Planet Of The Apes: Last Frontier pushes the boundaries of interactive drama, allowing players to explore and struggle with each choice collectively.
What is your take away on Planet Of The Apes: Last Frontier and its imminent launch on the PS4? Do you think that it comes down to the PlayLink functionality already working or were there other factors in the mix that have yet to be considered? Is this really the kind of bridge in the story you want for the franchise or will it just be a nice little filler? Let us know what you are thinking down in the comments and then discuss. If you want more for Planet Of The Apes: Last Frontier, keep checking in here as we will have it all as it comes. Although I have a feeling it will not be more than just another release date announcement when it is coming to the other platforms.
