A new co-op first-person shooter, EvilvEvil, has been announced and it looks like EvilvEvil will have us taking on the roles of some ‘ultra-cool vampires’
If there is something that it feels like the gaming world is missing has to be more co-op first-person vampire shooters and that is just what EvilvEvil is slated to be. That seems like a very specific genre of video game to have there, so it makes sense that it would be under-represented, but that is just the title that Toadman Studios is working on here. Something we only get a slight tease of here as this is just the announcement of EvilvEvil and the new company design coming for it. There is not a lot to pack in there, unless you are into business structure, but this is a new game we will see before the end of the year.
Details are just as sparse as the trailer for EvilvEvil here shows, but the basics sound like we will be playing the roles of some “ultra-cool” vampires out shooting a bunch of other monsters. Vampires that do get highlighted in this trailer, but not with anything but a flashy title card and not much else. It looks like the bulk of EvilvEvil will be held in reserve until GDC this year where they will display more and hopefully unload what we can expect here. It would make sense, but so far none of this makes sense so we will just sit with crossed fingers.
EvilvEvil — Teaser Trailer
Enad Global 7 (EG7), a new global interactive entertainment group, today unveiled itself in conjunction with the announcement of the first project to fully benefit from the diverse skill set of the group, EvilvEvil, developed by Toadman Studios (formerly Toadman Interactive). EG7 is comprised of established companies from around the world that specialize in interactive entertainment. Its mission is to provide a platform of services through its group companies to create leading game IP and deliver games to audiences around the world. The new family of companies aims to create a clear distinction between the parent EG7 and the game developer Toadman Studios (formerly Toadman Interactive).
The first project from Toadman Studios of the EG7 group is EvilvEvil, a slick vampire shooter, and will be supported by publisher Sold Out, and creative agency Petrol Advertising (PETROL). EvilvEvil will serve as the inaugural EG7 project that reflects the cross-functional approach of bringing together separate companies across the video game and entertainment space, to produce a true unison of development, marketing, and branding.
EvilvEvil is a co-op first-person vampire shooter with a player-directed, continuously updated storyline. Its cast of characters will bring ultra-cool vampires with a heavy dose of attitude and other monstrosities. The current release window is set to be the end of 2020. More information on the game will be released at the Game Developers Conference (GDC) in San Francisco, March 16 – 20.
How do you expect EvilvEvil to actually play out or will it be something basic with a vampire skin slapped on? Could this be like a monster killing game where the vampires have just had enough or could it feature some vampire on vampire action? Will this be the year of the vampire, again, with so many titles coming out with the creatures? Let us have all of those thoughts and feelings down in the comments and then feel free to discuss it all. When we have more to share for EvilvEvil, you know we will have it here. Be sure to keep coming back for all of that and much more.
