The release date for Devotion is now set and we will be living in the horror of 1980s Taiwan through Devotion this coming February
Maybe you remember a little game that we brought up back in July called Devotion. A game that was clouded in a bit of mystery and had very few details around it at the time and still to this day. Since it is coming from Red Candle Games without the name of a big publisher it is not too surprising that there has been little heard about it. All we knew was that we would be experiencing an atmospheric horror game with Devotion all through the eyes of a young girl in a family of devout religious folks. All in the 1980s and set in Taiwan. Now we also know when it will actually be hitting the PC this year.
The release date for Devotion is now set and we can look to see the game on February 19th. Only about a year after it hit the Steam Greenlight and went into full swing. Not too shabby at all. I wish there was more to share for it all, but even the following teaser trailer for Devotion has little more to share with only hints of gameplay mixed right in there. Maybe we will see more in the coming days now that we have a month before launch. I know I am hoping for that at least. For now, have a look at the latest trailer for the game and get ready to wait just a bit longer for it all.
Devotion — Trailer
Devotion is a first-person atmospheric horror game depicting the life of a family shadowed by religious belief. Explore as a 1980s Taiwan apartment-complex lost in time gradually shifts into a hellish nightmare. Delve into the vows each member of the family has made, and witness their devotion.
On February 19, “Remember what you pray for…”
Are you ready to see Devotion in action or do you still need more time to get acclimated? Will this be just a walking simulator in a weird setting or will there be much more to it all when it launches? Do you suspect that it will be a lot of puzzle solving along the way or will there be a bit more action added in than we thought? Let us all know down in the comments. When we have more for Devotion, we will share it here. Just be sure to keep checking back in for all of that in the coming days, weeks, and month.
