The Suicide Squad is on display one more time as we gear up with new gameplay for Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League
The day is almost here for Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League with the game hitting the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on February 2nd out there. A day that will have us joining in a different style of game from Rocksteady while keeping their solid storytelling style rolling on. I do not think we have driven that home that much here, have we? I guess, we will do this once more so that we can make sure we are all ready to join the Suicide Squad on the day. It also gives us a reason to share with you a little more of the game and a few thoughts about it all before we head on out there too.
The following for Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League is listed as gameplay for the third-person shooter title, but it is a lot of what we have seen before while spliced together with some cinematic shots from within the engine. It does highlight more of the squad and the brainwashed heroes we will need to bring down, if not kill in the game. All while the Suicide Squad also faces off against the various other forces of Brainiac out there in Metropolis too. Have a look at the latest and see if you can spot anything that is truly different than what we have seen many times over already. Then we will get into some of the other nuts and bolts.
Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League — Do The Impossible
Warner Bros. Games and DC unveiled the gameplay launch trailer for Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League, the upcoming third-person action-shooter by Rocksteady.
The all-new trailer features gameplay footage of Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang, and King Shark in action as they dive headfirst into the chaos engulfing Metropolis to face off against Brainiac’s ever-growing forces. The video also provides a glimpse at the epic battles players will engage in against Green Lantern, The Flash, and other enemies as the Squad takes on the impossible mission of defeating the world’s greatest DC Super Heroes, the Justice League.
Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League will be available worldwide on Feb. 2, 2024.
Now that you have seen it, things are a little concerning for Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League as the gameplay feels like it is getting recycled and repackaged over the run of it all. Some can see this as a good thing with the teams making sure nothing is truly spoiled out there, but this is all giving more of the Marvel’s Avengers vibe. As in, we are going to be grinding a whole lot and doing the same basic missions over and over to make it to the treat of the story in Suicide Squad. In fact, this was my experience during the Alpha test that they placed out there. It was a lot of shooting the same generic enemy so we could get some exposition and slowly make it to a fight with one of the various members of the Justice League. A story that felt like it would truly shine out there but the gameplay feeling forced more to make it a live service game to milk players for money. Videos like this only feel like it is reinforcing that by showing there is only the same basic loop with a bit of story tossed right in.
Did you see anything new for Suicide Squad in the gameplay above or was it mostly the same for you too? Did you have a chance to experience the Alpha test and was your experience similar to what I mentioned? Will it be worth the grind to get to the story that seems to have had all of the best work placed in for it? Take to the comment section to discuss all of this and everything else that we have to share with you. If we learn more for Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League, we will share it with you here. Hopefully, we are wrong and there will be some massive and great updates to drop on the world in the mix very soon for the game.
