A new cinematic trailer for Assassin’s Creed Origins has been shown off at Gamescom and it shows off some of the icons that Assassin’s Creed Origins could have mixed in
Well, Gamescom is currently in full swing and it would make sense that we would get to see more for Assassin’s Creed Origins during the event given that it launches on October 27th here. It would be insanely strange if Ubisoft missed the chance to show off more for the game and they did not as it was one of the items that opened the event showing off more of the Xbox One X out there. They needed to show off just what they are capable to do there for Assassin’s Creed Origins as well as on the PS4 and PC so it makes perfect sense for now. That and we also have another fun look at the game to get us hyped up for it.
Sadly, this is all a cinematic trailer for Assassin’s Creed Origins and I am not sure how this carries over to the power of the XbX, but this is what we have. Although, as long as it was not all for sizzle, we can make out a few other historical figures that could play a part in the grander scheme of the whole game here. In the trailer we get to see Bayek doing his thing in Ancient Egypt, but also mixed in are the likenesses of Ptolemy, Cleopatra, and a few others. Not too out of place given the era Assassin’s Creed Origins is in, but it doesn’t speak to if they will just be background noise in the overall game or if we will cross paths with them at some point.
I know I would like to think that Ubisoft included all of these other figures here for Assassin’s Creed Origins, as we will get to interact and maybe take on some of them along the way. It would not be out of place given how it has been done in other entries in the franchise, but it does need to be done with care so things are not too skewed from what is known. Not that there is a lot, but if we can “off” Cleopatra long before she does it herself, it does make for a weird timeline that is supposed to mirror the real-world one more than not. I guess we will see on October 27th for now. Moreover, hope to see that these upgrades for the XbX will truly be.
