Go behind the scenes with the Alan Wake team to see just how they got their dream of Alan Wake 2 up and going
There has been some “unedited” gameplay out there and a lot of talk around Alan Wake 2, but we have not heard the full story on how it came into creation. Well, beyond the fact that Remedy Entertainment just wanted to continue the story they started a decade ago. That should be a given when it comes to video games. Though, now we have a new behind-the-scenes look at Alan Wake 2 and just how it is going to be coming into existence for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on October 17th now. Let us dive in and see if there is truly more to the story than we thought.
As is to be expected here for Alan Wake 2, it comes down to the team wanting to make sure they had everything in line and the perfect continuation to the story before dropping it out there. Not the biggest of shocks given the quality of work they have had in the past, but I was expecting something a bit more here for the five-minute behind-the-scenes. Sure, it shows off some work from Alan Wake and the various other hits the team has had, but not much more than everyone stating what we all could have guessed. With very little new gameplay footage mixed in here. It is a behind-the-scenes video, though, so if that is what you are looking for, then you are in luck for now.

Episode 2 discusses Remedy’s history with Alan Wake, and the road that led the studio to create the Alan Wake 2 we have always wanted to make.
Alan Wake 2 launches on October 17th.
It is a little odd to me that with all the hype up for Alan Wake 2, we are not getting something deeper to keep us all going as of now. Sure, there is still a few months of time before the launch and there is a lot of time to get things together for all of that. It just would have been nice to see something that was not hidden behind doors during the Summer Game Fest. Something to give those few that were not invited out to see just where the game is. Beyond the footage we had during the stream for Alan Wake 2 during the media event. This is not a huge signifier to me, yet, but it is a sign that only certain people are going to get to see what is going on before those that have already paid for the game do.
Did you expect something bigger for this behind-the-scenes video for Alan Wake 2 or is about what we should expect going forward? Do you think we will get some kind of true showing of gameplay in the mix in the future or will it be what we just had and then edited videos going forward? Could we actually get a demo for the game since it will all be digital or will it stay obfuscated until the full launch to keep us all in the dark? Take those thoughts down to the comment section and let them fly. We should have more for Alan Wake 2 in the coming weeks, so please keep checking back for all of those updates and many, many more.
