Borderlands 4 Offers Us One Deep Of A Dive Into The Latest Gameplay

Borderlands 4 — Official Gameplay

Head deep into the Borderlands again just before we get to the new release date on the way for Borderlands 4 that is set

Talk about coming in with some big explosions and things to show off for Borderlands 4, as that is what happened during the most recent State of Play event. Not only did we get a whole lot of gameplay from Gearbox to dive into, but it looks as if 2K is out here offering up something else for the game. Like the fact that they are able to get it all to the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC a little earlier than expected. Not in the way of Early Access or anything, but the release date for Borderlands 4 is now a bit earlier than expected. Now we can mark the date down as September 12th for when we will be able to actually experience all that we have to see below for the game. Which, we can head down to look at it now.

To kick things off for Borderlands 4, we have a little bit of a teaser that shows off the four new Vault Hunters we are going to be heading out there with. Along with that, so slight teases to the gameplay that look pretty much as expected for the IP. Thankfully, that is not where it ends and we have a longer deep dive into Borderlands 4 that shows we are getting the same, with a whole lot of extras. Like the new ability to Glide in the world to get around, we can mix and match gun parts between vendors, will have our own vehicle with guns as our chosen character, universal cross-play from the start, and individual difficulties for each player so the game will be tailored for you no matter if your fiends are better or worse than you at the game. You will have the same experience of the story along the way and not feel like you are being hindered in any way. That is a solid new touch to add in to the game, for sure.

Borderlands 4 is a mayhem-fueled looter shooter, jam-packed with billions of weapons, outrageous enemies, and intense co-op action. Explore a dangerous, hidden planet Kairos as one of four new badass Vault Hunters.

Break free from the oppressive Timekeeper, a ruthless dictator who dominates the masses from on high. Now, a world-altering catastrophe threatens his perfect Order, unleashing mayhem across the planet. Ignite a resistance and blast your way through mechanical monstrosities, bloodthirsty bandits, and vicious beasts, with new traversal mechanics like: double jumping, gliding, dodging, fixed-point grappling, and more.

Fight solo or in co-op with up to three other players in this immense sci-fi adventure, packed with free-form combat and exploration, pulse-pounding boss fights, infinitely varied loot drops, and an eclectic cast of unforgettable characters, new and old.

The full deep dive is just a bit further down here for Borderlands 4, and for those looking to go in spoiler-free, it does touch on two of the Vault Hunters specifically in this one. We get to see how they each have their three different abilities they can use, or passive ones based on the classes. Those being that of Vex, the Siren, and Rafa, the Ex-Soldier. Some of those hardcore Borderlands fans can most likely piece together some of the basics about what they will be able to do in the game. If you watched the video above, though, you might have seen a massive energy tiger in the mix. That does happen to be Vex’s and it looks like its energy type will be tied to the weapon that Vex is using in the moment. Not a massive spoiler, but it does explain why it looked like there were multiples in the video. I will not say more and let you watch the full deep dive we have been given below. If you so choose to find out everything now and not just wait for the full launch.
