AI Is On The Attack In Some New Cinematic Gameplay Out There For MindsEye

MindsEye — Official Cinematic

Two new looks at MindsEye are here to show off how cinematic MindsEye as well as how the game will actually play when it launches

It has been almost two years since we first heard about MindsEye with a fun little teaser. A title that looked interesting, but of course, we all had little to go on. Thankfully, during the recent State Of Play, Build A Rocket Boy and IOI Partners dropped not one, but two looks at the game. Maybe this was to make up for the two-year gap we had or something. No matter the case, we have some explosive new footage to look at for MindsEye that will help highlight some of the themes of the game while also showing off how cinematic some of the gameplay will be when it finally hits the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC this coming Summer. Let us all have a look at it and see what the fuss is.

At the core for MindsEye, it is going to be a narrative action game where we are playing as a former soldier who has had some kind of neural implant placed in. Originally, this was supposed to be a helpful thing out there in the battlefield, but now it looks like it is up to no good and causing all manner issues. All in a world where AI and unchecked military are in power and, most likely, trying to get access to this fun little chip. That is where we have to turn the tables and get into massive shootouts, speed around town, and various other stealth missions in MindsEye so that we can stay alive. Also, probably to figure out what is going on with the chip and if everything we are seeing is also real. Almost like many of the other video games we have seen in this genre over the past two years. That is not to say it is bad, but it does look like we could change the logo on it and it could be any of the other titles out there. Have a look and see if it will be as explosive to you as it is trying to be.

Fight your fate. MindsEye. From Game Director, Leslie Benzies. Coming Summer 2025.

MindsEye is a narrative-driven, single-player action-adventure thriller set in the near-future fictional desert city of Redrock, where artificial intelligence and human greed collide to bring Earth to the precipice of collapse. It’s a compelling story, with strategic combat, high-octane driving, and endless entertainment.

Dropped during the PlayStation State of Play, MindsEye premiered a cinematic story trailer and a gameplay showcase, giving players a first look at its near-future setting, explosive combat, and adrenaline-fueled driving sequences.

MindsEye — Official Gameplay

Play as Jacob Diaz, an elite former soldier fitted with the MindsEye, a mysterious neural implant that haunts him with fragmented memories of a covert mission that changed his life forever. Fight to uncover the truth in a world where AI, high-tech experimentation, and unchecked military power shape every encounter.

Do you like what you are seeing for MindsEye or does it still feel like we need more context to the gameplay to see how it will stand apart from all of the others out there? Will this one be more about the story and less about the gameplay that other titles have done in the past and worked to great extent? Will this all boil down to AI and capitalism is bad so we need to fight back no matter where we stand in life? Take up arms and head into the comment section to discuss all of that and more. We will keep our eyes open for more about MindsEye, so please keep on checking in here for all of those updates and much more. I am keeping high hopes for it, but I can also see how it might go down the same paths of other titles very easily. Let us not have that be the case.
