Break Free From Everything As We Have A Release Date For Borderlands 4

Borderlands 4 — Launch Date

The release date for Borderlands 4 is now set with Borderlands fans getting their fill this coming September

It has been a rough go for the IP as of late and many have been waiting to see how Borderlands 4 is going to shake out on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. We all just had no clue where the game was in the cycle as Gearbox kept on plugging away at the looter shooter. That is why it looks like we have some fun news to hand out from 2K with Borderlands 4 getting its release date set down. A release date that will be placing this title in our homes on September 23rd. Although, some of the platforms are still listing it as September 22nd as of this update. Not a huge discrepancy, but worth taking note of as we wait for all of those pre-orders and options to open up. Something I am sure we will see when the Summer Games Fest kicks off in the coming months.

To go along with this new update for Borderlands 4, we have a fun little video to look at and get a further feel for what is coming in the game. Not that we did not expect a whole lot of running and gunning in the mix with all of the colorful characters that we normally get in a Borderlands title. We have a whole lot of that here. Along with a laser whip swing and some vastly different-looking creatures that will be roaming this world we find ourselves on. Not to mention a fun little blood rain sequence that I am hope is not just here for marketing and something we will get to experience in the full game out there. Have a look and set your calendars to alert you when things truly fire off here this summer.

Does this all still look and feel like a Borderlands title to you or does it still feel a little off for it all? Did you expect that this would be the release date given the IP’s history or were you hoping it would be sooner in the year? What do you think each of the character classes will offer up and will there be no overlap between any we have seen in the IP up to now? Fire off all of those thoughts in the comments and then feel free to discuss it all as you see fit. There is still a lot more to come for Borderlands 4, so please keep on checking back in for all of that and everything else we have coming down the pipes for you.
