A new puzzle title, Dreampainters, has been revealed with Dreampainters taking some great steps from other giant games
If there is one thing we love around here, it is a good puzzle game, and that is what it looks like we are going to be getting with the reveal of Dreampainters. A title that sounds like it would be closer to the likes of Splatoon or Concrete Genie, but as we are seeing from Stability Games and Frozen District, it is something quite a bit different. Almost as if they took some of the better aspects of Portal, and made that into a full game. From the reveal that we have for Dreampainters, that is truly what it looks and feels like we might be seeing on the PC in the future here.
All that teasing aside, Dreampainters is taking some of the puzzle elements from titles like Portal, Superliminal, and Viewfinder and giving them a little bit of a twist. A painting twist, as it looks like we will be going about all of these dream-like landscapes with different kinds of paint to solve the puzzles that they hold within. Puzzles will lead to us needing to switch things up for better platforming or activating elements around the game’s maps. All in a single-player and a multiplayer mode out there in the mix too. As I said, Dreampainters looks like it is taking some of the better elements from those games and turning them all into one title for us to experience. Dreampainters – where the world is your canvas!
It’s a first-person puzzle game, inspired by titles like Portal, Superliminal, and Viewfinder. Travel through your dreams to solve puzzles using your paint gun loaded with paints of different colors and abilities, solo or co-op mode!
Each paint allows you to interact with the environment uniquely, letting you solve the puzzles in your style.
Shoot the wall with a bit of yellow paint to bounce off of it, or splash some red under you to accelerate!
The developers aim to create a title that immerses you in an amazing and surrealistic world of dreams. Use your creativity to paint your way through the craziest creations of a sleeping mind!
