A new update for State Of Mind is here as the release window for State Of Mind is now slated for August 2018 for all platforms
The wait is almost over for State Of Mind as it has been let loose that the game will be coming to us sometime this August for the PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC. This would be the next title that Daedalic Entertainment is working on where we take on the role of a journalist who questions the way the world is who also happens to find out his family has gone missing. All something we can see going on in the current state of the world. So many titles out there that are tackling current social things in their own way and State Of Mind is looking at the AI and current digitalization of the world. At least that is the way it all sounds and looks.
That is more or less how it all is for State Of Mind. Not much else is here to go one besides a bit of a blurb and some gameplay to look at that shows more of the character walking and talking instead of anything else. You can see it all below and see what I am talking about. Just know that if it has piqued your interest though, it is coming August of this year as of right now. Pre-orders are also open for State Of Mind as of right now. So you can go out and be sure you are going to get your copy and shell out the $29.99 USD to do so. Also, you can save a bit if you go over and pick it up on Steam.
State Of Mind — Teaser Trailer 2018
Berlin, 2048 — The world is on the brink. Lack of resources, illnesses caused by polluted air and water, crime on the rise, war. Governments and companies promise remedies through technological progress. Drones and humanoid robots replace humans in the public sector, everything is interconnected, surveillance has become omnipresent.
State Of Mind lets players dive deep into a futuristic scenario that in many details comes very close to our own possible future. Today’s buzzwords like AI, big data, and a fully digitized daily life determine our thoughts, feelings, and relationships in 2048.
In the game, the main character Richard Nolan is one of the few journalists openly criticizing this development. When he wakes up in hospital after an explosion and finds that his wife and son have mysteriously vanished, Richard realizes: he and his family have become more than just bystanders in a storm of rivaling ideas pertaining humankind’s salvation between dystopian reality and digital utopia. Instead, they find themselves right at the center of it.
This domestic drama evolves into a thriller about a worldwide conspiracy, which at its core aims to determine the fate of humanity: Could a perfect digital utopia be the answer? A virtual paradise not affected by material needs and quarrels? Could a super-AI be our savior — or would it simply declare us as dispensable since it could not be taught the value of philanthropy?
What will the world look like after this storm, what will remain of humanity?
State Of Mind will be out in August 2018.
