In Friday The 13th: The Game we will get an expanded story for the franchise & we get to see all of Friday The 13th’s Jasons we will slay with
If you’ve been following along with Friday The 13th: The Game fairly closely then it should come as no surprise that Illfonic has placed into the maps a few hidden little secrets to be found or dug up. Sure this could go towards all of the items and parts of the map that players could use to survive or kill each other in the maps, but what we are talking about are the hidden little gems that actually expand on the overall story of the franchise. I’m talking about the Pamela tapes for those who have been elbow deep in Friday The 13th in the game form or even in the cinematic form. Now it looks like we have our first samples to get a better grasp on it all.
If you are not familiar with who Pamela is in the grand scheme of Friday The 13th then you need to go back and watch at least the first film. Or just know that she is Jason’s mother and his driving force into why all of these counselors need a good stabbing or horrific punishment. Those following along with Gun Media‘s plans for the game would also know that they had planned to bring more of her story to Friday The 13th: The Game in terms of “collectible” tapes that can be found during matches when trying not to die at the hands of Jason. Once found they are added to your digital cabin in the game so you can go back later and get a feel for Pamela as a person as well as the mother who lost everything. That and became the first version of this iconic killer so long ago.
Here are two of the volumes we will be able to find in Friday The 13th: The Game for our pleasure. They sound like they may be a bit truncated so we have a good reason to search them out in the game when it launches this month, but still give us a solid feel for it all. If they are not truncated then it looks like Illfonic will have us hunting for many of them all of the camp while hunting down our escape routes from the horror inside. Gods I can’t what for Friday The 13th: The Game to get here.
Friday The 13th: The Game — The Pamela Tapes Vol. 1 and 2
The first few of many collectible tapes that you can find scattered around Camp Crystal Lake, Higgins Haven and Packanack Lodge with Pamela Voorhees discussing her dear, sweet little boy Jason.
If that isn’t enough Friday The 13th for you yet, then let us present to you the next big data dump for the game as it stands. We had a look at all of the counselors already and what they bring to the table, now Gun Media has presented us with a look at all of the versions of Jason with their strengths and weaknesses in the game. Jason may be a bit “overpowered” in the game, but there are ways to kill him to win as well as ways to overcome some of his abilities. You can see a break down for each down below so you can start your planning process for Friday The 13th: The Game and be the best Jason your abilities can bring. I’m still a bit partial to Part 7 myself, but maybe that will change.

What are your thoughts on these Pamela Tapes that we had to hear for Friday The 13th: The Game? Do you think they will all be a bit longer than this or will they be scattered and split so much that we will want to keep going back to the camp to pick them all up with our severed limbs? Which of these Jasons do you like the best or will you have to wait until “game on” to figure which fits your play style? Let us know down in the comments and then discuss. If there is more for Friday The 13th: The Game then you should know we will have it here. Be sure to keep checking in on the site so you can see and hear all of it as it comes before launch.
