The next big addition to For Honor has been revealed and we will be getting two new warriors and maps in For Honor real soon
If you’ve unlocked everything that For Honor has to offer us already and have been waiting for something new to bring to the fight than know it is almost time as the second season is coming and almost here. That’s right, Ubisoft just announced that we’ll be seeing the next big gameplay update with the Shadow And Might DLC that will bring us all a bunch of new things to play and experience in the game. All of which will be hitting For Honor for Season Pass holders on May 16th and for non-Season Pass holders on May 23rd. All on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC at the same time. No exclusivity here it seems outside of just paying for the right to have it all a bit earlier than others with the Season Pass.
Coming to For Honor in this update will be two new warriors in the war of the Shinobi and the Centurion. One is an assassin type and the other is a knight type and I’ll let you use your big brain to figure out which is which. Also to which faction they will belong to. It should be fairly easy based on name, but I’ll give you a moment to sort through all of that for yourself.
Also with this update we will be getting two more maps for For Honor to add into the multiplayer experience. That and some new gear called Epic Gear. The Epic Gear will increase the maximum gear score so we have that all to look forward to. And all for free, unless you paid for the Season Pass. This is where the time difference comes in as the Season Pass holders will just get all of this right out of the gate. Those who only hold For Honor by itself, you’ll get the update but will have to go through the usual grind to unlock it all with the in-game currency. Hopefully you’ve been stockpiling that and will keep doing so over the next month so you can pretty much get it all right out the gate too. You just need to plan.
For Honor — Season 2
For Honor Season Two, Shadow and Might, will bring new content including two additional heroes, two extra maps, new customization items and gameplay updates. New heroes, the lethal Shinobi and the fierce Centurion, will be available for free immediately for Season Pass holders on May 16, while all other players will be able to unlock them with in-game Steel on May 23. Shadow and Might will launch simultaneously across all platforms on May 16.
- Shinobi (Samurai Assassin) — The Shinobi are silent warriors able to move with a dancer’s grace and kill with precision thanks to a lifetime of disciplined training. They wield the traditional Japanese Kusarigama.
- Centurion (Knight Hybrid) — The Centurion sees the battlefield like a chessboard. Equipped with the reliable standard issue gladius, Centurions can bypass enemy defenses through strategic close-quarters combat.
The two new maps, Forge and Temple Garden, will expand upon the selection of multiplayer battlefields. Additionally, Season Two will introduce a new level of gear rarity – Epic gear – that will increase the maximum gear score along with a balancing overhaul for the entire gear stats system.
How do you feel about the For Honor update that is coming? Are you excited to play as the Centurion and Shinobi or do they not fit into your wheelhouse of gameplay here? Have you been saving up your in-game currency so that you’ll be able to unlock everything on May 23rd or do you have the Season Pass and will be getting it straight away?
