This Week In Video Games 12/29/25 — 1/2/26

A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week

It has been a week here with the year ending and then starting back up, so we have more video games to play out there. Granted, it was a little on the lighter side as many of the teams and studios were out there celebrating, but we did have quite a few things to bring up. I mean, we saw Stranger Things come to an end, but still live on in Dead By Daylight, along with when we will be able to play Styx: Blades Of Greed in this new year. A little more for SAROS, and then a few indie games that will lead us into CES next week. Yes, the tech convention snuck up on all of us again, and that little hype train has pulled out of the station too, even if they do not usually highlight many specific video games and more of the hardware to play them on.

That all said, things might be a little slow during the week with CES taking over and all of the studios coming back into full swing with their video games. We will add what we can, but between the slow week in general and our boots on the ground, please expect a few delays along the way. Unless you really want us to start pushing the fluff that does not truly matter to the products you are buying out there. We can start sharing every little tweet and social post that can be speculated on, only to have us all let down when those video games do not come out. We are not fans of that here, but we will offer what you want. For now, though, we will stick to all of the gaming and pop culture that we can while leaving the general fluff that someone said they would like to work on a fictional game that will never happen.
