A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week
Just as we were expecting, this was certainly a full week of video games. Some of it is catching up from all of the big announcements we did have, while also offering up some other games that were left out of The Game Awards, as they would not drive money to the show. Titles like Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival and Painkiller, even if others like Divinity and WARLOCK hit on the harsher themes and mature content in the same ways. It is kind of why you still need some of the mavericks like us out there covering the various video games that are not going to be big news for the “mainstream.” Gods, I hate that we are in this timeline of things where that needs to be the case.
Next week, sadly, might be insanely slow when it comes to the news for video games. We will try to figure out a way to keep it all flowing and news out there, but we are not huge fans of making mountains out of dumb little things. Not to mention, we have many on the team who will be out there celebrating the season. So, we will be a little short-staffed to be able to cover it all. I will do what I can, that is for sure, and I might even have some of those things that are adjacent to video games to load up just so you have something that can help distract you from the horrors of the holidays. You will just have to wait and see.
