The world of Control is getting even stranger, with the announcement that we have for Control Resonant coming soon
The FBC is back, again, with the latest announcement we have from The Game Awards this year, as Control Resonant is on the way to us in 2026. This is the next in the bigger story that Remedy is telling over all of their games on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. A direct sequel to Control and the other bits of story that have gone down in this universe of titles, and one that will not be following one of the main characters we have seen so far. Even if it is one that we have seen to some degree, and followed along with someone close to them. That character… Dylan Faden. Yes, that fabled brother is going to be at the center of all of the insanity that we will soon see going down.
While we might have heard and seen a little of Dylan in the past for the Control titles, he is being called to action in this one. It seems that The Oldest House is fully down and the Hiss have started to invade Manhattan. Dylan now needs to help keep that all at bay and try to gain some level of order in the mix of things. All as Control Resonant shifts us from a third-person shooter to a third-person melee title. With Dylan wielding the Aberrant, a shapeshifting melee weapon much like the Service Weapon that we had to play around with in the first title. Just that this one will allow us to slice, cut, smash, and slam everything while Dylan hones in on the abilities that come with all of the power at hand. Yes, there looks to be a lot of floating and other abilities in the mix as well. Have a look and see how the hype is being built, and a little bit of the gameplay that the game will give us next year.
Control Resonant — Announcement
Explore a warped Manhattan on the brink of paranatural annihilation in this thrilling action-adventure RPG. Unleash the extraordinary powers of Dylan Faden as he fights for his humanity and survival against a reality-bending cosmic threat.
Control Resonant arrives in 2026 to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, and Mac via Steam and the App Store.
After years in confinement at the hands of the Federal Bureau of Control (FBC), Dylan Faden’s former captors are deploying him at the peak of a supernatural crisis.
Charged with combating a mysterious cosmic entity as it alters fundamental aspects of our reality, Dylan must harness his new-found powers to take the fight to the myriad threats overwhelming Manhattan.
Join Dylan in this sequel to the multi-award-winning Control to explore the expansive zones of a city overrun by the corrupting influences of the chaotic Hiss, invasive micro-organism, the Mold, and other twisted paranatural threats.
On the path to unlocking the full potential of his supernatural abilities Dylan will also seek out his sister, FBC Director Jesse Faden, as he bids to comprehend and contain the dangers that have spilled beyond the confines of the Oldest House to tear our world apart.

Delve Into A Fractured Reality
Explore multiple areas of Manhattan in an expansive, unfamiliar, and exciting world as an invading cosmic force reshapes the environment, defiles natural law, and distorts gravity, reordering our reality as a geophysical nightmare.
Traverse perception-bending locations, and travel beyond the material world into a mysterious metaphysical space representing Dylan’s troubled psyche.
Are you ready to go back into the world of Control, or did you think that we saw the last of it with the most recent take on the world? How do you think it will translate over to a melee title from the shooter it was, and will this feel like a fully new take on the genre of games? Will we get to see the whole world taken over by the Hiss at some point, or will this be the swansong of the IP to allow the team to work on other projects once this is complete? Let us have all of that discussion in the comment section a little bit further down the page. We will have all that we can for Control Resonant going forward, so please keep a close eye on the site for all of those updates and the many others we still have in the works out of the show, and in general.
