New footage for Luna Abyss is finally here, with a look forward to when Luna Abyss will launch sometime next year
It feels like it has been ages since we had our eyes opened up for Luna Abyss, and I’m glad that we are finally getting something. Sure, we still might have to wait a little longer for the game to hit the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, but Kwalee Labs is still working hard on the game so we can have the first-person bullet-hell title to experience. All with the grim and dark world that Luna Abyss has been showing us that is coming. Something that is also getting highlighted in the latest footage that is now out there in the wild for the game. Let’s dig right in and see if this is all going to be worth the long wait that we have been having for it all.
In addition to giving us all a look at the world we are going to be shooting up in Luna Abyss, we do get a look at some of the corrupt souls that will be attacking us as we head through the locations. Along with that, some of the various ways we are going to have to bring some of them down. Many feel as they would in a traditional top-down bullet-hell game, but modified to work in the 3D space that this one is set in. It does look as if some of those attacks might be easy to dodge or get around, but this is being played by someone who has most likely played a lot of Luna Abyss to capture the footage. So, I’m hoping that it will be more of a challenge, in addition to having to deal with what the cosmic horrors out there are also throwing our way. We’ll have to see, and maybe it will be early in 2026 that will be the case.
Luna Abyss — The Eye Has Opened
Kwalee and its internal development studio, Kwalee Labs, are proud to reveal a new atmospheric trailer for the upcoming first-person bullet-hell action-adventure game Luna Abyss. Entitled “The Eye Has Opened,” the trailer showcases the game’s dark, grim atmosphere as players uncover the mysteries of the mimic moon and the abyss within its depths.
Luna Abyss is a single-player, story-driven action-adventure featuring fluid platforming and bullet-hell combat. Players will follow the journey of Fawkes, a prisoner of Luna, a mimic moon, and find themselves caught between a cryptic prophecy and their prison sentence.
Players can begin uncovering the abyss’ mysteries by downloading the demo on Steam. The demo introduces multiple locations from the game as players face corrupted souls and twisted cosmic horrors.
You are a prisoner sentenced to explore a derelict megastructure that sprawls deep beneath the surface of the mimic moon Luna. You are tasked with recovering forgotten technology from within the Abyss and the lost colony it consumed. Every move you make will be overseen by your artificial prison guard named Aylin.
These centuries-old ruins are alive with maddening echoes, insinuating secrets of the once prosperous city of Greymont and its terrible fate. The Scourge. The tenets of the All-Father. The choir of the Collective. The voices of the Abyss call to you; they whisper strange missives…

Did you wonder why Luna Abyss fell off the radars of so many in recent years? Does it look like it has had the perfect time to grow and evolve so far out there? Do you think that the 3D space is going to make dodging all of the bullets a bit easier than it should be? Will any of the cosmic horrors alter our views in the game and make things harder when the bullets start flying? Let’s have all of those thoughts in the comment section to discuss. Now that it looks as if Luna Abyss is further down the line than we thought, we expect to have more to share. Please keep on checking the site and our socials to catch it all as it does fire off. None of this is news you are going to want to dodge, and we’ll make sure you are not able to.
