The snow is falling in the world of Outlast, with the launch of Project Messiah out there in The Outlast Trials
The snow is going to fall just as the blood rains down in The Outlast Trials with the next big project. Project Messiah is now live out there on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC for those ready to see what new horrors that Red Barrels is offering into the world. Not just with the new Prime Asset in the game, but also as it is time for the traditional holiday-themed events with the Outlast twist on them. So, a little bit for everyone out there, even if this new project for the Murkoff experiments does not seem to be as jolly as many in the world would want it to be. Even if they do mirror the real-world mentality of humans in a perfect way, when it comes to religion and what the season brings out in everyone.
Those who missed the cinematic announcement for this new bit coming to The Outlast Trials, would have missed out that we have a new ambush predator out there in the trials by the way of Sister Liliya. A mix between a nun and a cenobite, minus any of the supernatural stuff. Unless you place the fact that she can go motionless in the matches to the point that she looks like another mannequin out there. Something that I was curious about was how it would be handled in the game, and it looks like we will have a black light mechanic to check to see if it is her or something else being stationary out there. Not as fun as having there be idle motions to be the giveaway, but the team did need to focus on the new trials we are getting and another map added into The Outlast Trials. One that fits the seasonal theme and might keep us all terrified during the snow seasons. The Outlast Trials — Project Messiah Gameplay
Sister Liliya, our newest Prime Asset, ushers in Project Messiah and welcomes you into the snowcapped opulence of The Resort, a new Trial environment where Reagents can “Despoil the Auction” and prepare to face the divine, or face their reckoning!
Murkoff is also instating a new exclusive Deluxe Catalog, the return of the Winter Kills Limited-Time Event, featuring a new Permafrost variator that will chill the blood of any Reagent. This update also includes 2 new MK-Challenges, an update to the Invasion Experimental Therapy, and more.
