An announcement for Zoopunk is out there, with Zoopunk giving us a prequel we didn’t know we needed
Fans of Forged In Shadow Torch are about to get all revved up again, with the announcement and showcase we have for Zoopunk. A new title from TiGames that looks like it will be taking us all deeper into the universe that they created. All of which looks to be set before the events of the other game. An interesting way to go with Zoopunk also ditching the side-scrolling Metroidvania-style of gameplay, and giving us all of our favorite anthropromorphized characters in a 3rd-person action title. One where it looks as if we are going to get to play a lot more than we ever did before. All kinds of interesting if this all pans out as expected.
This is just an announcement and a slight showcase for Zoopunk, so the details are a little sparse beyond what we have there and what we can see in the following video. The game isn’t even slated to drop on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC until 2027, so there’s still a lot to figure out along the way. What we do get to see, though, is that we will be able to swap between various other characters in the game. All of them have their own playstyle, from the looks of it. All with a more “realistic” look and feel to the characters and world. Quite a step up for Zoopunk from where it came, and that gets me pumped to see how it will all function when it is done. Especially since it does look like we are going to be getting a lot of ninja-style characters in the mix of all of the cyberpunk setting, too. Have a look and see just what I am talking about now.
