They Will Come — Announcement

A new action-puzzle game, They Will Come, is on the way to us all with a fun new announcement showing how They Will Come

Things are further creeping out there in the video game world, with another puzzle game coming with They Will Come. A new title on the way from Game Pop for the PC. From the looks of it all, their first, but that is a great sign with the game slated to hit us all in 2026. Even if there is still very little known about They Will Come and little to see at this point. It is all still in the announcement phase of things, with this action-puzzle title having only the most basic of things to look at to hype us all up. That all said, let us dig into what is out there and see if this will be a title we are going to want to keep on our radar now that it has a Steam page active. The most basic of things, for sure.

In They Will Come, we will be playing as Little Benjamin, whose family has been captured by some wretched ones and is under guard by some automatons. That is not cool, so Benjamin, his giant robot, and his trusty slingshot are on the quest to make sure the family is safe and secure. All as we sneak around the world and solve some of the puzzles out there in this weird game of hide and seek. A little bit on the basic side of things, but They Will Come does look to have a fun steampunk feel to the world, which should grab the attention of many gamers out there looking to have some fun in a setting like that. Have a look at the quick little clip we have and read the longer text descriptions. It is odd that we only have a few seconds of footage, but maybe that is to help build some of the hype for it all as we wait.

They Will Come — Announcement

Little Benjamin, his trusty slingshot, electrobanger, and his giant robot face off against an enormous steampunk airship filled with Wretched Ones and towering automatons in They Will Come, a new adventure puzzle game from Game Pop, founded by industry veteran Jeff Troutman. Explore your environment, collecting items and solving puzzles, making sure to stay out of sight, ducking from shadow to shadow.

Your family has been captured, and the wretched ones have made it clear that nobody is making it out alive. There’s no one left on your side but Talus, a giant steam driven robot in a top-hat and a small army of automaton power cells called Embots. Riding atop his shoulder or inside his hollow chest offers a safe place to hide, and his mighty arms offer smashing revenge on those who have taken so much from you. Scurry through the corridors and hangers and factories, gathering power-cells, coal, and water for your companion, and then lead him to safety; you are each other’s last hope.

Key features of They Will Come include:

  • Breathtaking Graphics — The eerie halls and hangers of the airship come to life in light and darkness, courtesy of industry veteran Jeff Troutman, former Art Director at Petroglyph and Midway Games. Every inch of the environment is lovingly crafted and rendered for full immersion.
  • Tense Stealth & Puzzle-Solving Gameplay — Carefully traverse the Endeavor, sticking to the shadows. The Wretched Ones are relentless, and not above brutal violence. Clever distractions and timing are your only chance at survival.
  • Bittersweet Story — You have been torn apart from your family; and your home a flying airship has been overrun with the Wretched Ones. Evil men in masks who have arrived looking for something on the Endeavor. Your only companions are automatons created by your father, like the giant robot Talus, who, despite his size and strength, needs you as much as you need him.
  • Lore-Rich World — Discover this strange and mystical alternate history of 1897, with fantastic Steampunk technology and sinister forces warping and twisting the world.

What are your thoughts on the announcement for They Will Come, or was it too small of thing to grab full attention at this point? Will it be weird to have a stealth game that uses a giant robot, too, or will that only come in for certain parts of the game? How long will it be until we get to see the full game in action, and will it be in early 2026 when it launches out there? Let us head into the comment section to discuss all of this and everything else that might come to mind with this small announcement. We are going to keep an eye open for more to come for They Will Come, so please keep on checking in here and our socials. I have a feeling there will be a larger announcement soon, and maybe something that will further expand the title than we might have originally thought.
