Become a new Detective in the virtual worlds, with the release date set down for Detective: Rainy Night
This holiday season is going to get a little more rainy, and a little more mysterious, with the release date for Detective: Rainy Night. Another of the indie titles that JanduSoft is helping to bring to the various markets and to help smaller teams of developers actually get seen out there in the wild. They may not all be massive hits, but someone has to help see that we all might get to experience the next big sleeper hit that the big publishers didn’t have any faith in. Such is the case for Detective: Rainy Night, which has been worked on for a while now, and we will see it land on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, and PC on December 4th of this year. Not too shabby for a team the size of one, and for what kinds of horrors it looks like we will get to experience out there.
Now that we know the when, let’s figure out what we’ll be playing with when Detective: Rainy Night launches out there. Add this one to the narrative, psychological horror pile of video games out there, as we will be playing as Iker Carmona, the police detective the title is referencing, who is looking into some crimes when things start to get really weird. Weird as in Iker shows up at a motel, wakes up to the world’s technology not working, heavy rain keeping everyone locked in, and 7 other people at the motel who have all of their own little things going on. A mystery that our Detective will have to solve over 12 different “levels” as the world gets crazier and crazier as time moves forward in all of this. We all better be up for the investigation and deduction gameplay here, as that will be the only way that Iker and everyone else will be able to make it out of all of this with their lives. At least, at a minimum for it all. Have a look and see what is going down for the game as we wait another month to get to play it.
Detective: Rainy Night — Release Date
Detective: Rainy Night is a narrative adventure with elements of deduction. Violent crimes, mature stories, and a touch of psychological horror await you at the Motel Holiday. Grab a pencil and paper because solving this case won’t be easy.
Detective: Rainy Night puts you in the shoes of Iker Carmona, a seasoned police officer investigating a series of mysterious disappearances in a remote area. After a long day of driving, Iker seeks refuge at the “Holiday” motel for a much-needed rest, unaware that his stay will soon unravel into a chilling nightmare. The next morning, a disturbing argument outside his room leads to the shocking discovery of a world gone wrong. The motel is without power, mobile phones and computers are useless, and vehicles refuse to start. Worse yet, a heavy rain begins to pour, trapping everyone inside. With no way to leave, you and seven other guests are forced to confront the strange happenings that unfold within the motel’s walls. Set over five days across 12 narrative-driven levels, Detective: Rainy Night takes you on a gripping journey of suspense and terror. As you speak with the motel guests—each with their own secrets and stories—you’ll need to carefully piece together the mystery surrounding the strange disappearances, eerie deaths, and cryptic symbols that seem to plague the place. With your police instincts and keen observation, you must question the guests, uncover hidden truths, and connect the dots to solve the case.
Features:
