New Gameplay Has Been Found Out There For Paranormal Activity: Threshold

Paranormal Activity: Threshold — First Gameplay

The Paranormal Activity IP is coming back, with a first look at the gameplay for Paranormal Activity: Threshold after the long wait

We have been coming up on two years since we first heard that Paranormal Activity was going to have a video game made about the IP. A title that was coming from DarkStone Digital and DreadXP in the universe, but that was about it. We did not even have confirmation on the platforms it was coming to, or even a specific name for the game, as of yet. That is all changing now, as we now have Paranormal Activity: Threshold on the way to the PC. Not only the new name and platform, but we also have a look at some of the first gameplay and the story that will be going down in this title. One that feels in the universe but might also leave some of the hardcore fans of the IP wondering why we are not following something different.

Just as we have seen in many of the other entries into the Paranormal Activity IP, here we have a couple coming into their first home to do some remodeling. Something that should be a great new adventure for anyone starting out. Sadly, as this universe always does, there is something strange and dark in the wall of the house. Things that Daniel and Jessica will have to face as they document the renovations, and then their own basic survival. As we play Paranormal Activity: Threshold in a found footage format while dealing with the demons and spirits in the house. Be it through rituals or other forms of communication. All of which will lead to a multitude of different outcomes for us in the mix. Some might even lead us onto different timelines in the IP. Given that it sounds like the experience will be a procedural one, it feels like we will have infinite ways to get to where the story will flow. Maybe even into the events of one of the films, if things are planned out the proper way. Have a look and see what is coming for us soon.

Paranormal Activity: Threshold — First Gameplay

From the creator of The Mortuary Assistant comes Paranormal Activity: Threshold.

Daniel and Jessica Stewart have decided to remodel their first home. Old and dilapidated, they begin to record the adventures of their renovation, but the couple soon discovers their new home hides much more than asbestos and faulty wiring.

As they dig deeper into the mysterious house, their excitement turns to concern when they uncover strange markings and items hidden within the walls. The more time they spend there, the clearer it becomes that they are not the home’s only occupant. Sinking deeper into the influences of a dark presence, Daniel and Jessica are unprepared for the horrifying events that follow.

Have you been a fan of the Paranormal Activity IP before now, and does the new game feel like it will bring the fun back into it all? Do the visuals of the characters look a little “dated” to you, at least when compared to the rest of the world we will be wandering in? How many different outcomes will we finally see when all is said and done, and will there be options that link all of the IP into one big story? Find your way down to the comment section so we can all discuss this out there. If we have a bit more for Paranormal Activity: Threshold, we will certainly add it here for you. Please keep checking back for those updates and the many others we are getting in all of our horror IPs as of late. It is going to be one fun ride for the genre, it does seem.
