The next playable clan for Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 is stepping into the limelight, with the Toreador on display for Bloodlines 2
It looks as if The Chinese Room did opt to leave the brightest for the last when it came to the playable clans in Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2. Not that the Toreador are known for light powers, but they certainly do draw the eyes of mortals to them as a moth to flame. They are the clan of divas and the final of the playable clans that we will have to select for Phyre. Unless there is more DLC or the modding community takes things up a level with Bloodlines 2 after October 21st and the game lands on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. We’ll worry about that then, for now, let’s shine the spotlight on the Toreador and just what they are bringing to this version of Seattle.
As they are seen in the tabletop version of the game, in Bloodlines 2, they are going to be more of the traditional, sexy vampires we have seen over the centuries out there. Not that they won’t be able to hold their own with the Celerity powers Phyre will have, but there is a focus more on the Presence powers. Like that, Phyre will be able to Beckon the mortals to them, or that they will have a way to have them defend Phyre as well. All, somewhat, based in the lore of the games, but needing a bit of a twist to work in the scope of Bloodlines 2. Now I am only curious if we will get to see how the powers will blend between the clans that share many of the same. Like if the Toreador Phyre will also have access to some of the things that the Brujah Phyre will have when it comes to Celerity. Only another week and we will know for certain.
Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 — Clan: Toreador
Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 will be released on October 21, 2025.
The action-RPG video game is the sequel to the cult classic Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines. Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 lets players step into its story through two distinct, alternating perspectives: Elder vampire Phyre and Malkavian detective Fabien.
Today, The Chinese Room brings you a new glimpse into The Clan of Divas. Meet the Toreador characters of Seattle and see Phyre’s seduction in action.
Toreador starts with “Celerity” and “Presence” as clan affinities, and “Cat’s Grace: Move faster after feeding.” as the passive ability. Then, as the game progresses, you’ll be able to unlock the following Toreador disciplines:
- Entrancing Kiss: Kiss an individual to Entrance them for a period, making them an ally that will defend you from others. The weaker the will of the target, the longer they will be Entranced.
- Blink: Instantly dash to a targeted location.
- Beckon: Put an individual into a docile trance where they will walk to where they last saw you.
- Blurred Momentum: Temporarily boost your reflexes, allowing you to evade damage.
- Fleetness — Clan Perk: Relocate abilities will recharge over time.
Are you glad to see that the Toreador are fully in Bloodlines 2 now? Do you think that some of the powers will blend between the clans a bit more as we progress through the game? What other Presence powers were you looking to see in the list? Will we have another official clan for Phyre to play as, and will it most likely be the Malkavian, with Fabien already designed that way? Slink your way on into our comment section and lather us up with all of the discussion.
