Those Who Slay Together, Stay Together In The World Of Painkiller

Painkiller — Slay Together

A new bit of gameplay for Painkiller is here, to show us all why we should be slaying things together in Painkiller

After finding out about the Rogue Angel Mode on the way to Painkiller, it is time to make sure we have a good number of friends ready to join us in the fight out there. Even though we can play the game solo, it looks as if Anshar Studios and 3D Realms have made sure that we all try it with our friends too. Even to the point that they are giving us the new slogan of “Those who slay together, stay together” for Painkiller. A little cheesy, sure. Though it is a nice way to make sure that we have as many of us out there taking on purgatory. Not only for the sales of the game, but also in terms of the fun we can have when doing it all with two friends along for the ride.

While it is certainly nice to see that Painkiller is thinking about making sure we all play the game together, the latest gameplay we have to look at doesn’t feel like it embraces that. While some of it is new, it looks mostly like how the game will flow from our own hands, and it is hard to see how teaming up will help. At least teaming up with another person instead of an AI bot to help us. That is a hard thing to show in a game, unless there is some special thing that the team can pull off when all together. Not something that I am seeing in the following footage, but maybe we will get to truly experience it on October 21st when Painkiller launches on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. For now, let’s just get hyped up and ready to fire off a few good rounds into this hellscape as we try to escape. That feels like it flows a bit easier than it should have there…

Are you going to be playing Painkiller with multiple people? Will this be more of a solo title for you, with some A.I. bots along for the ride? Would it be interesting to see if there is a better team-up ability for multiple players in the match? How would you have gone about highlighting this function in the game when not playing it live? Shoot your comments down below, and then let’s continue that discussion as needed. We should have a bit more for Painkiller very soon, so please keep on coming back here to see and hear about all of it. I am in for the ride, as well as others around the office, so do expect there to be a lot more here and on our channels. Follow along or miss out on it all.
