Final Fantasy Tactics - The Ivalice Chronicles — Launch Trailer

The launch for Final Fantasy Tactics – The Ivalice Chronicles is here, and we can dig into the combat Final Fantasy Tactics offers

The battlefield is opening back up for us to control, as we see Final Fantasy Tactics – The Ivalice Chronicles launching out there. A slice of nostalgia for those who have been with Square Enix for a while now, but with all of the upgrades, many wish the game had had in the first place. Okay, maybe the younger me did not think about it at the time, but the older me would have appreciated it back when Final Fantasy Tactics first dropped. Now that September 30th is here and we get to experience the game on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, Switch 2, and PC, we will be able to see if this will be the defined edition I wish I could send back in time.

Those who have not been up on Final Fantasy Tactics before now, and lost at what I am speaking on, this new version of the game is not only bringing back the classic gameplay for the modern consoles. As you can hear in this video, and the many others, we are getting some solid voice work to go along with the game, which we never had before. Along with that, some of that cutting room floor content and a few other things that could not fit into the original space for Final Fantasy Tactics so long ago. All so we can have a more well-rounded version of the title to take turn by turn. This is not a game for everyone, I know, but it is certainly one that I fell in love with long before, and am ready to do so all over again. All with a better way than just reading text on screen and making voices up in my own head.

Command the battlefield, master your skills, and discover the untold legend of Ramza Beoulve as he and his childhood friend Delita chart a course through this tumultuous age in the Kingdom of Ivalice.

Final Fantasy Tactics – The Ivalice Chronicles launches September 30th, 2025, for Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam.

Did you have a chance to play Final Fantasy Tactics when it originally came out, or did you miss out on all of that fun back then? Did you always hope that the original game had voice work for it, or were you a fan of reading all of the text as it came onto the screen? What other content do you think we are going to see in the mix here for the game, and will it all feel new after how long it has been since the original came out? Fight it all out in the comment section, and then feel free to discuss it civilly moving forward. I do not think we will have much more for Final Fantasy Tactics – The Ivalice Chronicles, but if we do, we will have it on the site and our social account for you. Please keep on checking all of that out, and enjoy it all equally as we march ever forward.
