The horror of The Cabin Factory is on the way to the consoles, with this version of The Cabin Factory opening up soon
Those console gamers who thought they were missing out on The Cabin Factory, well, we have some great news for you. This fun, little horror title from International Cat Studios and Future Friends Games is now on its way to the consoles. It has been close to a year since it hit the PC out there and caused a fun little stir. Now, on October 16th, those looking to play The Cabin Factory on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch will have their chance to do so. As long as you are looking for a short, sweet, and only the core experience on the consoles. Let us dig into all of that and just what you might be playing just before Halloween rolls around here.
If you were looking to get the full experience of The Cabin Factory on the consoles, well, you are going to be let down just a bit. The core game will be there, and we will have the replayable hour-long horror experience of inspecting haunted cabins. The Supporter’s Pack DLC, though, seems to be only a PC thing. It is slated as “not” a console release, so it might never make its way over, but only time will tell. If enough gamers head into The Cabin Factory and hunt down all of those weird things going on, maybe we can see it make its way over. That, or maybe we will get to see more of the game come to light in the future. Even if this is a shorter experience to have in the first place. Companies do like money, and gamers wanting more of what they like is certainly a way for companies to get more of that money. The Cabin Factory — Console Announcement
The Cabin Factory, the viral horror game where you inspect cabins and cast your vote if they are haunted or not (so you need to look at everything VERY closely) is coming to Nintendo Switch, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series S|X as well as Xbox One on October 16th.
The console release will include achievements for PlayStation and Xbox. The Supporter’s Pack DLC will not be a console release.
The Cabin Factory is a walking spot-the-difference about sorting the artificially scary from the truly supernatural. It’s a simple job: check out all of the cabin props, and make the call whether they’re safe or not to be used on set.
Pay close attention to each room. Any visual anomalies? Anything moving that shouldn’t be? If it’s haunted, turn back immediately and press ‘danger’. If safe, press ‘clear’. The final decision is yours, but know that you’ll be penalised for making the wrong choice.
The Cabin Factory is a short horror experience (~60 minutes) inspired by ‘The Exit 8‘, ‘Pools‘, and their virtual predecessor, ‘P.T.‘.
