Battle Through The Underworld, Again, With The Full Launch Of Hades II

Hades II — v1.0 Launch Trailer

Get ready to fully head back into Hades with the full launch version of Hades II coming very soon

It only took a little bit of time, but it seems Chronos has finally seen it fit to bring the full version of Hades II out to us all. Well, more than Supergiant Games has been working hard to get the game to a full release state from the Early Access going on and is now ready to take us further into the Underworld. All so we can break free of that and bring Chronos down a peg or two. Maybe that is why we have the announcement now, but we will still have more time to wait until September 25th when Hades II will fully launch on the PC, Switch, and Switch 2. Yes, that is also right, it looks like the game will also be ready to land on the consoles with a bit of a timed exclusive there…

While not fully announced as of yet, it does look as if we should expect to see Hades II land on the other consoles down the line. It would only make sense. Especially after we find out that the Switch 2 version of the game will be able to hit those 4K and 120fps visuals on the system, when docked, so it would only make sense that the other systems would be able to hit the same levels of things. We are going to have to let more time pass to see if that does pan out. Maybe with all of the PC gamers picking up Hades II once it leaves Early Access, or keeping the gameplay flowing at that point, it will speed up the time for the developer to get the game ready elsewhere. That would be my hope, at least, so we all can have fun with the game. Even if yours truly was not asked to help out with either game at this point. I am not salty; you are the salty one.

Hades II — v1.0 Launch Trailer

Battle beyond the Underworld starting September 25, 2025, on Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, Steam, and the Epic Games Store.

Hades II is a direct sequel taking place sometime after the events of the original game. No prior knowledge of the original Hades is needed, though there are plenty of connections!

As Melinoë, the immortal Princess of the Underworld, you’ll explore a bigger, deeper mythic world, vanquishing the Titans’ forces with the full might of Olympus behind you, in a sweeping story that continually unfolds through your every setback and accomplishment. New locations, challenges, upgrade systems, and surprises await as you delve into the ever-shifting Underworld again and again.

Like her brother Zagreus from the original game, Melinoë is not a character of our own invention, and is based on an ancient Underworld deity thought to be related to Hades. What little ancient mythology exists about her was more than enough to make us want to explore her story and connection to her family, and in so doing, expand on our vision of the Underworld!

Have you been holding out to head back into Hades with the full launch here, or have you been keeping up since it hit Early Access? Why do you think it is the Switch that will be seeing the game first, and is this a bit of a flex by the team to show how well they can make a game? How long do you suspect we are going to have to wait to see the game land on the other platforms, and will it be a shorter amount of time than we might be thinking? Rush on down to the comment section to let us have those thoughts and the discussion. When we have anything more for Hades II, be sure we will have it all here for you. Just be sure to keep on checking in here for all of those updates and the many others still in the works around here. I am sure you will be glad that you did.
