New gameplay for Directive 8020 is here from Gamescom, while we have a slight delay for Directive 8020 now
I do hope that you did not have your heart set on getting to experience Directive 8020 this coming October, as it looks like there is now a bit of a delay for the game. One that is going to push it into 2026 for an unnamed release date now. That is part of the news that crawled out of Gamescom 2025 and was a little overshadowed by other things. Maybe a good call for Supermassive Games to do that, but worth noting for those who were looking for more horror on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Thankfully, it looks like we have something fun for Directive 8020 to look at as we try to figure out why we are going to have to wait so much longer to play this one. A whole lot of the prologue to show how the events of the game are going to kick off, and what others have been seeing on the floor out at Gamescom.
Now that we have the bad news out of the way for Directive 8020, we can dig into the good news. That being that, we have thirteen minutes of new gameplay to show how the events of the game are going to kick off. Not only with some of the basic gameplay elements of the choose-your-own-adventure aspect of things, but some of the newer things to expect in the game. Like, there will be a few bits where we need to go through some stealth-action and others just plain exploration. I am sure that will go on through the entire bit of Directive 8020. What will only be here at the beginning of it all will be how the events kicked off. Also, a bit on how the crew will know that there is something else going on, and give them a chance at survival. Given that they all can die, they will all need to have whatever advantage they can get out there. So, get ready to spoil a few things and see what we will be experiencing, hopefully, early in 2026.

Directive 8020 releases 2026.
Why do you think that Directive 8020 was pushed back to a new year, and will it be more than just a “polish” kind of thing? Will there be a way to keep all of the characters alive in the full game, or will some of them need to be killed to allow for the story to carry on? Would it be fun to see an option out of the gate that bypasses all of the horrors in the story, or will you only ever want to experience this horror in full mode instead? Creep on down to the comment section to discuss all that we can for the game. More for Directive 8020 has to be on the way now that it has been delayed, so make sure to keep on checking back here for all of that. Given how well all of these games have been, I know it will still be an exciting affair to go through, even if we do have to wait just a bit longer to do all of that still.
