It Is A Nightmare For The Living In Resident Evil Requiem

Resident Evil Requiem — Creators’ Message

A new look at Resident Evil Requiem is here to show off how the team is trying to keep the fear of Resident Evil going

There was the big reveal for Resident Evil Requiem just recently, but it only gave us all so much for the game. Like the fact that Capcom was making another in the ongoing series and not another remake, as well as it would be hitting the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on February 27th. Also, a little bit on who we will be playing as, and that we will be heading back to Raccoon City once more. Something to delight all of the Resident Evil fans out there after the past thirty years. Now, we have the developers come out of the woodwork to let us all know a bit more of the nitty gritty when it comes to just what we should be able to expect when the game lands. Even if it is only a small slice of things in its current state.

Not much in the terms of gameplay is shown here for Resident Evil Requiem, but we do have some new insights for the game and just what is about to go down next year. Like the fact that this one is taking place thirty years after the missiles were fired on the city, and that we are heading back in with Grace to do some investigation. The choice for Grace being the lead is also due to the fact that we need to have a good surrogate for the game to help enhance all of the fear. Leon or Jill would certainly not flinch at any of the horrors, but Grace, being a newbie to it all, helps keep the stress of things a little higher. Just as we like in a good Resident Evil title. Once we mix in the fact that we can play the game in first-person or third-person mode the whole time, I think they are going to nail it on the fear and horror side once more. Have a look and see along with how they are using some of the newer game engine aspects to make things feel a bit more real too.

Resident Evil Requiem — Creators’ Message

Requiem for the dead. Nightmare for the living.

A new era of survival horror begins when Resident Evil Requiem launches February 27, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam.

Are you glad to see that Resident Evil is finally pushing forward again in the timeline, or are you still upset you are not getting a remake of one of the older games again? Do you like that we are getting a wholly new character to play as in the game, and will it make sense that she has no idea of any of the horrors that are prowling the city? Will you be playing in first-person or third-person mode for the whole game, or will you be switching in and out as you so desire? Take the thoughts on down to the comments and discuss them all. When there is more to share for Resident Evil Requiem, we will do that all here for you. Please keep on checking in for all of those updates and the many others still to come down the line.
