New gameplay for Once Upon A Puppet is out there with the developers giving us some extra behind the scenes for Once Upon A Puppet
Let us all walk into a new theatrical world out there with another look at Once Upon A Puppet. This is the upcoming puzzle-platforming game that Flatter Than Earth has been working on to bring to our PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PCs this coming April. A game that will have us playing as a hand and a puppet being controlled by said hand. That should get you caught up on what we knew from the teaser we had for Once Upon A Puppet a little while ago. Now, the developers are ready to pull back the curtain and let us see just how the game will flow. Along with some fun behind-the-scenes commentary to help guide us all along on this journey.
For starters, Once Upon A Puppet is going to have many of the basic mechanics we would normally see in a game like it. The difference being that we get to use both Nieve, the hand, and Drev, the puppet, to pull them all off after they are mystically connected. From there, things expand out a bit more with us having to explore all of the handcrafted sets of the stage performance we are trying to put on. Nieve will need to stitch up some costumes for us to embrace some of the roles out there, while Drev will need to manually rebuild some of the stages that have been decaying over time. That is how some of the puzzles will be coming in as well as finding some of those collectibles. All so we can see the theatrical version of Once Upon A Puppet play out as the cutscenes and story segments in the game.
