The Midnight Walk — Release Date

The release date for The Midnight Walk is now set down and we will soon get to take that Midnight Walk they are talking about

Grab your torch and get ready to head out into the world of The Midnight Walk. Well, more get ready now to head out there as MoonHood and Fast Travel Games just announced the release date for the game and we still have a little time to wait. It is just always good to get early, even if we will not see The Midnight Walk until May 8th for it to open up on the PS5 and PC for the PSVR2 and VR headsets respectively. If you want to have a new style of title in the virtual space with all of the visuals coming from real-world claymation with all of the video game fun.

In addition to the release date for The Midnight Walk, we also have a new video to look at for the game. One that walks us through a bit more of the story idea and the gameplay we can expect here. One that does not feel truly like a VR setting given how fast things are moving here, but it does look like it will be just as chaotic as the world looks. One, that if you had little knowledge before, was all hand-sculpted in the real world, then 3D scanned in, all to make the full assets we will get attacking us in the mix. It is an interesting visual style for The Midnight Walk even if it does feel like it is a lot more work for a video game. Have a look and see it all in motion below as we wait for the full release date for the game to come in a few more months.

Have you been excited to see The Midnight Walk come to life or is this the first time you are looking at the game up to now? Does this not feel like a VR title with the locomotion in the mix or will the jitters of the claymation make that feel a bit smoother in the mix? Will all of this extra work pay off for the game or would it have been easier just to do the clay sculpting in a digital space first instead? Walk on down to the comments to discuss all of this and everything else out there. We will share more for The Midnight Walk as we get more to share. Please stick close to the site to see all of that and everything else that is crafted for us in the video game world. Even if it does seem to be a bit “extra” just for the game.
