All the speculation of the Nintendo Switch 2 can now be put to rest with the official first look at the new Switch 2
The wait is over, and kind of begun, as the Nintendo Switch 2 has been officially shown off and announced out there. All of that and it looks like we have a bit of a first look for us all to start a different kind of speculation as we wait for the full details and launch of the new console this year. Sadly, the first will have to wait until April 2nd when we are going to get the full Nintendo Direct showing off all of the features or any of the various locations around the world where you can get handsy with the Switch 2 before everyone else. Thankfully, we have a good starting point for some of that speculation and a fun first look at just how the system is going to look and handle.
For starters, the Nintendo Switch 2 is going to look quite a bit like the original Switch, so do not expect any massive differences like the other consoles go through during generational changes. It does look like the screen will be slightly bigger, which means that we could be getting some higher-end visuals on the handheld part of the system. Looking at the following first look at the Nintendo Switch 2, we can see that it will sport a fun little kickstand with a better shape than the current version, it will have a headphone jack, physical cartridges will be usable, there are 2 USB-C ports, and the Joy-Cons will have a new way of connecting to the screen. Along with the usual dock that fits the new look and maybe a sleeker connection to a larger screen out there. Have a look and start to get excited to see this dropping in 2025.
