Zeverland Is Shambling Onto The Scene To Give Us All A New Zombie Survival Experience

Zeverland — 6-Minute Teaser

A new survival game, Zeverland, is announced and it looks as if Zeverland is going to give a solid twist to the genre for us to play online

These game companies do live their zombie games and now we have another on the way to us on the PC by the way of Zeverland. A new title coming from Quantum Quirks that looks to give us that good, old survival gameplay in the world while also giving us some extra twists to it all that other titles like it just do not. All with a fun look and style to Zeverland to keep it as accessible to so many other gamers of the world too. That is, the visuals do lean a bit more into the cartoon, and Chibi kind of looks for everything while still giving us the violence one would expect from the setting. A nice and creative way to make sure we are having as much fun with our video games as we should be each time we load one up…

While all of that is fun to know for Zeverland, the core of the game will have us playing as the last few humans on the planet who are immune to the airborne version of the zombie virus out there. At least the part that was spread into the world by a meteor that caused red spores to kill off 90% of all of the living things out there. As these remaining survivors, we are tasked with killing off the undead and collecting all that we need to survive all of the horrors that all brings. If not, then we hit a grizzle end. An end, thankfully, that does not mean the end of that character in Zeverland, as this game will have us shift over to the undead side for the second part of the game where we are then tasked with killing the humans. All over an in-game 30-day cycle before it all starts again.

Zeverland — 6-Minute Teaser

Quantum Quirks is thrilled to announce the upcoming release of Zeverland, a groundbreaking survival game that reimagines post-apocalyptic survival gameplay, inviting players into a world devastated by a mysterious meteor impact. In this constantly evolving environment, players must navigate the challenges of infection, creativity, and teamwork in order to survive.

In Zeverland, a seemingly harmless meteor shower changes the course of humanity. When the meteor disintegrates, the aftermath triggers a rain of red spores, which begin infecting everything in their path, with 90% of all life — plants, animals, and even humans — becoming altered by the infection. Yet, a small percentage of humanity remains immune, struggling to survive in a fractured world.

Zeverland offers a fresh take on survival gameplay with its dual-perspective system, allowing players who become infected to continue their journey as “Zeds,” gaining new abilities and offering a new way to play. The game spans 30-day phases, each marked by changing seasons and weather, presenting dynamic challenges such as group quests to restore landmarks and manage the infection. It fosters collaborative exploration without enforced alliances, encouraging players to form natural social connections while embracing a robust crafting system that rewards creativity. With a massive 24×24 km map, diverse environments, and high replayability, each playthrough offers a unique experience to keep players on their toes.

Zeverland Key Features:

  • Live The Zed Lifestyle: Infection doesn’t end gameplay and allows players to experience gameplay from both human and Zed perspectives
  • Craft & Combine Anything & Everything: Combine virtually any two items to create all sorts of strange and useful combos
  • Huge World Map To Explore: Choose your starting location to determine your equipment, supplies, and strategy, with different areas having different infection levels
  • Massively Multiplayer: Engage with friends, strangers, and NPCs to form teams, recruit survivors, and build settlements
  • Ride Around The Apocalypse In Style: Drive customizable vehicles and create your own mobile fortress with a fully customizable RV

Zeverland releases on Steam for Windows PC in 2025.

Do you like this little twist on the cycle that Zeverland is offering up for us or will it be one that can get cycled through rather fast? How crazy will the gear get as we have the ability to combine everything in the game or will there be some limits to that “everything”? How beefy can we get our Zed to be in the cycle or will there be some other limitations so we cannot just ruin the game of all of the other survivors just because we were unfortunately killed? Creep on into the comment section to get that discussion going as we wait for 2025 to bring us the game. We are on the lookout for more for Zeverland, and we will certainly share it all as soon as we get it. Be sure to keep an eye on all of our outlets to keep as informed on it all too.
