The launch for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart Of Chornobyl is finally here and you will need all of your courage to join the ranks of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R.
The wait is finally over and we can all gear up to head out into the zone of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart Of Chornobyl. The game has finally launched out there on the Xbox Series X|S and PC with GSC Game World still working hard to make sure it is the best experience we can expect out there. Especially with all of the other hardships going on in the world and the hardships going on in the team’s home country, we really do need something great to escape the real world with. Even if the setting of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. universe is a little on the bleak side, it is a true testament to all involved that it was completed and ready to entertain, so we will focus on that for now. They are still surviving a war over there and can use all the extra support as well, so give the game at least a bit of a look to help out.
That all said, we do have a bit more gameplay to take in for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 if you need to see something else to get you excited about this game. Not that we have not seen a whole lot out there as the development cycle carried on and had to be put on hold a few times. This one not only celebrates the launch of the game but also gives us all another look at some of the other sides of things in the world. Well, more some of the other humans that we will run into in the zone out there. Up to now, more of the gameplay has been a bit of the solo run and not much else besides the horror in the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 world. Now, we get to see the true horror of humanity as we see some antagonists and maybe some allies in the mix to help push the story forward and try not to have things stay as bleak as the real world we have now.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart Of Chornobyl — Launch Trailer
The greatest temptation is trying to control something we do not fully understand. But what do we do when faced with truly inexplicable?
Do we run, consumed by fear, or step forward, driven by curiosity and defiance? In the Zone, every answer comes at a cost, and the truth may be the greatest price of all.
Heart of Chornobyl is finally calling you, stalkers.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart Of Chornobyl takes place in a fictional Chornobyl Exclusion Zone. The nuclear disaster at the Chornobyl Power Plant in 1986 wasn’t the only one to occur, as the second explosion hit the reactor in 2006, creating the Zone. It’s a dangerous place, filled with mutated creatures, deadly radiation, and a strange, anomalous energy.
Bounty hunters delve deep into the Zone, driven by its treasures and mysteries. Some of them are running from their past, others are blinded by money, and some are obsessed with finding the truth behind all the mysteries.
You will take the role of Skif – a lone stalker, who enters the Zone after a series of unforeseen events. On the way to the Heart of Chornobyl, you will gradually uncover the secrets of this world, explore the balance of power between factions, fight, and survive. In this non-linear story, every choice you make will impact the outcome of this global and epic tale, featuring three hours of scripted cutscenes. Thanks to Unreal Engine 5, photogrammetry technology, and the developers’ regular visits to the real Chornobyl Exclusion Zone, the authenticity and atmosphere that have always been the hallmark of the series are better than ever.
Have you already made the jump into the world of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 or did you need this reminder to head out and give it a go? Will the humans be the true monsters of the story or will some of them be decent and only reacting due to the trauma they have endured? Is it not impressive that the studio managed to get this done while terrible humans are invading their lands and causing all kinds of other hells on them? Wander down to the comment section to discuss all of that and leave some of your thoughts. If there is more to share for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart Of Chornobyl, you know we will have it all here for you. Please keep on checking in for all of those updates and any of the others we have to offer up along the way out there too.
