A new title in the BrokenLore series has been announced with BrokenLore: DON’T WATCH on the way out there too
Last week, we had another of this series pop up to talk about and now we have the announcement of BrokenLore: DON’T WATCH to carry it all along. I am guessing that Serafini Productions is just ready to pump out so many new first-person horror titles for us on the PC and they have no sign of slowing down. At least for now and for the BrokenLore series. That all said, let us have a look at what was announced and what we might be able to expect as this one carries the line on down the spooky road just a bit more. Even if we are being told “don’t watch” for this one. It is what it is and we are ready to dive right in.
In this part of the BrokenLore series, we will be playing as Shinji who is trapped in his small Tokyo apartment with video games as his only escape from the other plights he is going through. The only link to the outside world, by Shinji’s choice, is his laptop as things begin to go off the rails for Shinji. From there, we and the character need to question our own sanity and try to figure out what is truly going on in this new nightmare and find some level of safety out there. Even as it all seems like it is an illusion as it is in many of the other elements of the BrokenLore series. It is odd, weird, and you can see the little bit we have for it just below to get you ready to see how the series will keep on playing out and if we will see more of it all next week.
BrokenLore: DON’T WATCH — Announcement
BrokenLore: DON’T WATCH is a first-person psychological horror game from the intricate BrokenLore series.
Shinji is a young hikikomori, trapped inside his small Tokyo apartment. With unpaid rent, mounting bills, and a family that doesn’t understand him, he feels isolated from the world — and from himself.
His only escape is video games, but even that can’t ease the crushing weight of his anxiety.
You’ll explore Shinji’s mind as it unravels, but be cautious. Hyakume, a malevolent entity with a hundred eyes, is watching, waiting for the right moment to strike.
Your laptop is the only link to the outside world. But even there, safety is an illusion…
Have you been deep into the BrokenLore series up to now or is it all falling out there for you to experience in one shot? Do you think this is some level of commentary on the addictive and isolating nature video games can have out there? Will this be a series that has a new chapter or game drop out every few weeks to keep us all locked in for a dark story? Hit up the comment section below to leave all of those thoughts and have some kind of interaction out there. I am sure you will be glad that you did just that and when there is more for BrokenLore: DON’T WATCH to talk about in the coming weeks. At least as it feels like it is all going down for this series at the end of the day.
