Mortal Kombat 1 Is About To Get A Hot Dose Of Peace Out There

Mortal Kombat 1 — John Cena Is Peacemaker [BTS]

One more look at Peacemaker coming for Mortal Kombat 1 is here just before we see some peace brought into the Mortal Kombat world

Peacemaker is about to hit the fun of Mortal Kombat 1 as the next big DLC character added in, and we have one more look to take in for the character. Not in the way of seeing how the character will function and the other fun little nods that NetherRealm Studios has placed in there. No. This is a look at how John Cena brought the character back to life in Mortal Kombat 1 while still pretty much embodying the character in general. For those who are still waiting to add the character to the roster on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PC, let us kick back and go behind the scenes one more time to see how this all came to life and what to expect.

It surely comes as no surprise that John Cena is able to fully embrace this character again in Mortal Kombat 1 given that they are currently filming for a new season of it all. It does highlight that the writers of the game and character dialog are also on point with how the character is, with some of the banter before and during the fight fitting perfectly in. Granted, given the publisher and everything else around the Mortal Kombat IP, it would not be strange to hear if the show writers offered up some punchy things for Cena to say or some of the other little things we get to see. All of this you can see right now as we wait for the character to come to us all who had to wait to not play with the character during the Early Access release last week. Ah…marketing…

Given my enjoyment of the show and how the character has been brought back into a great light, this is another of the guests that have me back into the Mortal Kombat 1 space. Weirdly, this time around, it has been the guests that have pulled me in for all of this DLC, and not many of the core characters making their way back from the past. Maybe my tastes have changed that much or, and most likely, I enjoy seeing something new and fresh in my IPs like Mortal Kombat where even if the gameplay is about the same, not seeing the same characters living through 12 games back on a roster is a true treat. I am a sucker for seeing new things tried and not just rehashing the same things because humans have that nostalgia thing that helps sell copies.

Were you waiting to see Peacemaker in the Mortal Kombat fight or will you be holding out for another character? Do you think that they brought this one to life perfectly with the voice and likeness? When do you think we will see a mostly new roster of fighters in the mix with only the core basics making the comeback as NetherRealm will never abandon those? Take those thoughts into the comment section and then feel free to discuss it all as you so wish to do. We will have more to share for Mortal Kombat 1 in the coming weeks, so please keep on coming back here to see and hear about all of that when they do come. It should be a great time.
