It is time to breakdown the gameplay for Prince Of Persia: The Lost Crown to see how this will add into the universe of Prince Of Persia
It is still hard to believe that Prince Of Persia: The Lost Crown is hitting the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PC in just over a month. January 18th, 2024, for those who do not remember back when Ubisoft gave us that little update to enjoy. Also with a demo of the game coming to all of those platforms on January 11th just so we can try it all out. If that is not soon enough for you, though, we have a new gameplay overview for Prince Of Persia: The Lost Crown so we can better understand what we may or may not be getting ourselves into when the new year rolls around and we get to experience it all in our own hands.
Just as with any good Metoidvania title out there, this will have us exploring all manner of new areas in the Prince Of Persia world while doing all of the normal moves and attacks we would expect in a 2D platforming title. All so we can gather and unlock new time powers and skills so we can go back and explore new locations and better fight other enemies along the way. This way we can help Sargon become the master of it all and bring down the ultimate evil in this world. Some of these powers will allow us to leave behind clones that we can snap back to, others will have us sprinting through and up walls, and others will have us looking into the past so we can have a few more things to jump on and get around the maps quicker. Pretty much where the Prince Of Persia titles have gone, while still leaving out that whole prince aspect and maybe taking place somewhere in Persia.

While I am not too keen on the story or how the IP is being used here, Prince Of Persia: The Lost Crown still looks like it can be a fun game for us all to explore and fight through. That is what most of us are looking for at the end of the day. I am curious as to why all of the traversal powers are also tied to the time powers set up out there, but I have a feeling that is more to keep things concise instead of adding in a whole lot of other confusing things and mechanics that the developer is normally known for. I am glad to see that they are confident enough to let us all experience Prince Of Persia a week before launch. That reads as a sign they have the proper faith in the title and think that will draw in more gamers who are still on the fence after having the other title left to the sands of time or those who have been burned by the publisher in the past.
Do you feel like this video got you fully up to speed on this Prince Of Persia title or does it still leave many other questions to be answered? Will dropping the demo a week before give them the sales boost they are looking for or will that lead to many canceling orders before they can no longer get a full refund? Is it weird that we are not getting to play as a prince in this title or will all of that make sense to link into the overall story of things? head into the comments below to discuss all of this and everything else we have to offer the world out there. We will share all that we can for Prince Of Persia: The Lost Crown on the site, so please keep on checking back for all of those updates and many, many more.
