Meet The Characters In The Fight For Contra: Operation Galuga

Contra: Operation Galuga — Characters

The cast of characters for Contra: Operation Galuga are on the scene to show us what the new Contra will have

It is about time to get reloaded, reborn, and reimagined with Contra: Operation Galuga. A new title coming from WayForward and Konami to bring a classic IP back to life while giving us all something new to experience in the mix too. Even if we have to wait until 2024 to see Contra: Operation Galuga land on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PC. Thankfully, we do not need to wait to see how the game is coming to life and the characters we are going to get to play as in the game. Here we go with a look at all of that as we wait to see how they handle this IP that so many fans have loved over the decades.

In this new look at Contra: Operation Galuga, we have the six different members of the crew heading out there to do what they do best. That being to shoot first and ask questions never. That is how it all looks here as we get introduced to Bill Rizer, Lance Bean, Lucia, Ariana, Stanley Ironside, and Probotector and they head out into the wilds to pull off another big Contra mission. The first two are the generic action star leads, and then the next two are the female counterparts, with the last two being heavy and robotic-like characters aimed to be the bigger backup out there. Have a look and see these different characters who should have different stories in the main game and not just different voices with the same gameplay mechanics slapped over them.

Contra: Operation Galuga — Characters

Reloaded. Reimagined. Reborn.

The original run-‘n’-gun action series is back!

A new entry in the Contra series — Contra: Operation Galuga — will be released in early 2024!

I mentioned that last part, as this all does look like a normal Contra title with the characters mostly playing the same. Sure, they all look like they have different firing styles and the robots have jetpacks, but nothing has indicated how these are fully different characters in the mix. Maybe that is why we are going to have some bigger cutscenes in Contra: Operation Galuga than we have had in the titles of the past. This is all hyping up for the game to come, so we might get something bigger and better as we get closer to the launch. I just kind of wish we were given more for who each of them are if they are supposed to be more than just the same character with a different voice and look. Is that asking for too much out there? I do not think it is.

Did you know that we had another Contra title on the way or was this all a surprise to you as well? Do you think each of these characters will feel truly different in the game or will they all function the same but with different looks and sounds? How deep of a story do you think we are going to get or will it be all about the action and little on the substance? Take to the comment section to discuss all of that and everything else we have to share out there. When we have anything more to share for Contra: Operation Galuga, it will be up on the site for you. Please keep on checking back for all of those updates and the many others we are going to have along the way out there.
