Wander through the nightmares of Alan Wake 2 with some new gameplay taking us back to a location we explored in the original Alan Wake
The next big chapter is almost here with Alan Wake 2 and as we all hunker down for a fun weekend of gameplay, we have a new bit to look at before we can go live with it all. Remedy Entertainment sure does know how to keep us all hooked while not giving away too much at this point. Something I say again with this new footage we have for Alan Wake 2 gives us some of the Saga gameplay with some live-action mixed in. All while taking us back to a familiar location from the previous game. A nice little cap to have for us on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC as we head right into Halloween out there. Let us see how terrifying this is all going to be.
In this new clip for Alan Wake 2, we head back to the Valhalla Nursing Home out there in the world to catch up with Saga. Given the world we are in, obviously, everything is not okay in the home. All of this brings us to one of the best body horror elements I have seen in Alan Wake so far. Along with a new enemy type that seems to not be able to see us in the light but will only be available to be hit while in the dark. This is a little twist on what we have had for the gameplay over the years, but still damn solid. Mixed in with the fact it can vanish and teleport too, this one looks like it is going to be a rough ride for the characters and players alike.

This feels like the first time we have seen anything completely new like this in Alan Wake 2 and it is something I am all for. It hits the right kinds of horror for me and I cannot imagine how rough of a fight this is going to be when going live with it. Not to mention, it places a different character in the mix of the bigger nightmare than Alan Wake too. I figured Saga was going to handle the basic grunts and antler-headed things in the game, but now it looks like all bets are off. The excitement continues here as we get ready for that release extremely soon. Now I need to go back and watch this all again to get ready for these horrors in the full game out there.
Have you been counting the days until you get to join Alan Wake in the nightmares again? Do you like the new kind of horror we are going to have in the game or does it make you a little squeamish in general? How many times will we face things like this and will there be more disturbing things to come when the game fully lands? Take to the comments and then feel free to discuss it all. We are going to share all we can for Alan Wake 2 and have a review up in short order out there. Please keep on checking back for all of that and our gameplay when it goes live out there. I know you will be excited about this one when it all hits.
