Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 Gives Us The Sound Of Midnight

Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 — Midnight

The soundtrack for Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 seems to be flowing out there for us to hear the themes of Bloodlines 2 now

There is a little more news on the front for Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2, and this time it comes in the way of the soundtrack a bit. We have been getting some developer diaries, of sorts, from The Chinese Room to let us know how the game is developing, but there has not been much in the way of anything concrete until now. Given that they seem to be using a lot of what was already built for Bloodlines 2 as well as a lot of newer things, it would be nice to actually get something to go on for the game. That is where all of this seems to kick in now with one of the songs that will be featured in the game and will hopefully set some of the tones and themes we will get to explore. That or just be something to further promote the game.

Here we have a song titled “Midnight” that seems to be appearing on the upcoming Bloodlines title in some form. How? Well, that is still anyone’s guess at this point. It does feel like it is leaning into the dark and gothic nature of the IP while setting a nice little atmosphere in the mix too. All of which you can hear for yourself just below. It is only one short track for Bloodlines 2 with many more coming to the various streaming platforms a some point after this update. So we will all need to keep at solid eye out for all of that for when it does finally drop out there. I will stop drolling on for now and let you get right to the music that we have today.

Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 — Midnight

“Midnight” – Written by Michel Zitron, Paulina Palmgren, Jarly. Produced by Michel Zitron and Jarly.

Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 is the successor to the cult-classic Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines. Bloodlines 2 takes players to the dark underbelly of Seattle, where vampires struggle for survival and supremacy. As an Elder vampire, players meet compelling characters, maneuver complex political relationships, stalk the city streets for prey, and engage in intense combat while balancing the need for blood. Throughout the game, players must always be mindful of their surroundings or risk breaking the Masquerade – the absolute law of secrecy that keeps vampire society hidden from humanity.

As a long-time fan of the IP and universe that Bloodlines 2 is set in, this song does feel like it captures one of the elements of the universe. There is a whole lot more to it, and that is where I hope the other songs and tracks will come in. Granted none of this really highlights how it will flow with the actual gameplay of Bloodlines 2, so it could all just be to help promote things instead. Time will only tell and we should know for certain when the whole thing hits the various places out there. My fingers are crossed that it will all function just as we all hope it should.

What do you think about the song we have for Bloodlines 2 here? Does it fit what you think it should for the game or will it just be something to toss aside when the heat of things picks up? Would you want to have a song for each of the clans in the game or would that be too much of a throwback for the IP that only a few players would fully understand? Take to the comments and fight it all out down there. We are going to have more for Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 on the site, so please keep on checking back in here to see and hear all of that in due time.
