The launch of Hellboy Web Of Wyrd is here with Hellboy taking on so many of the various evils out there
If you have been hidden in a different dimension or land up to now, then you might have missed the fact that Hellboy Web Of Wyrd has now launched on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PC. After a bit of teasing and waiting, Upstream Arcade has dropped the game for us all to fight our way through and see how Hellboy will succeed in the mix of it all one more time. With this version taking more of the comic book path of things while giving us the rogue-lite elements some out there really love in their video games. All worth noting before heading out to give it a download and play on your chosen platform.
Now that we have been reminded that Hellboy Web Of Wyrd, you can have a look at the launch trailer that has been placed out there with the reminder that the game is out there. A reminder of the various things that may have caught your eye for the game but also made you want to stay away from it. The latter being more of the weird way that the gameplay looks to be handled for a brawler while trying to stick to the look and feel of everything. Not a massive issue for many, but something I know did not sit well here and with a few others out there. We do not get much for Hellboy currently, so it is at least worth giving the title a bit of chance when that all comes about, but the gameplay alone should better sell you on the idea of playing it out there or watching someone else go through the motions of it all.

I have said it a few times here, I am a fan of Hellboy and would be interested in the title if it was not for the roguelite aspect that feels is being used to pad the run of the game. That is based on some of the “raw” gameplay we have shared before here and my experience with the genre in general. To me, and also when it comes to “Soulslike” games, it is a way to make the game feel difficult while trying to obfuscate some of the shortcomings due to one aspect or another. That is not to say there are not good ones out there that many love, but it is a genre I am generally very weary of, and Hellboy Web Of Wyrd feels like it is in the camp of skipping for me. Maybe I will be wrong and the launch will show me just why that is…
Will you be joining Hellboy in the fun of this new video game or will you be waiting it out a bit? Do you like the look and feel of the game in general or would you have rather seen it all move into the brawler style of things instead of mixing in other elements? Will this one bring more in to love the character or will it fall flat and be a title that only a portion of the community will love out there? Head into the comment section to discuss all of this and everything else we have to offer up along the way. There is more to come for Hellboy Web Of Wyrd, most likely, so please keep on checking in for those updates and many others as we head to the future.
