The Atomic Heart DLC is out now with the story continuing on one more time for Atomic Heart and then a bit more
Dust off those copies of Atomic Heart, as if you would let dust collect on it in the first place, as the next DLC for the game is finally out there for us all to enjoy. Mundfish has put the final touches on the Annihilation Instinct DLC with it launched out on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC as of you reading these words. I do hope that you had that already worked into your plans for the week and that you had the version of Atomic Heart that came along with the DLC. That or you are open to dropping the cash to pick it all up and download it now. You have options and it is time to exercise those options out there. If you so choose to do that right now.
As a refresher, this DLC adds more to the story for Atomic Heart while also giving us a new character to deal with. Along with that, new weapons and abilities to use against the shapeshifting enemies out there. If that does not give you enough “new” stuff to play with, do not forget that you can also go through Atomic Heart with the New Game+ mode. If you have not already started that new playthrough since the update dropped back when the release date for this DLC came out there. If anything, there is a whole lot of the “new” to experience for us all now and it is time to kick all of that off. As long as the time was already set aside for it, that is.

New Game+ mode is designed to test skills and enhance the experience
For more player happiness, the New Game+ mode has now been made available for free along with the latest update. In the most difficult game mode yet, players will need all of their previously unlocked skills and arsenal to deal with the strongest enemies Atomic Heart has ever unleashed, thanks to their new specific resistances and attack effects, which will be reflected in the different colors of the enemies’ aura.
Atomic Heart is out now on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC with three available editions: Standard (base game), Gold (base game + Atomic Pass), and Premium (base game + Atomic Pass + digital artbook). The Atomic Heart: Annihilation Instinct DLC releases on August 2. It is included in the Atomic Pass and in the Gold and Premium Editions.
Not having yet been able to experience what Atomic Heart has for us in the game, I will say some of this is a little lost on me. This still feels like a Russian version of BioShock and it is on my long list of titles to experience. But the trailer here does little to highlight what is new even though there is supposed to be a new Techno-Stasis ability and a few other weapons to use too. I am at a loss as to see what parts of this is new for Atomic Heart, although it does sound like this rogue A.I. is a little hornier than I remember in the past. Unless this is something that comes up in the game, it does seem like a weird twist to see and hear about now.
Have you been able to play through Atomic Heart with the new modes already and were already geared up for this DLC? Will these new weapons and abilities add a whole lot of replay to the game and will we be able to play the whole game with them in New Game+ now? Was the game always as horny as the trailer makes it seem or is this just for the new DLC we have here? Head down to the comment section and then feel free to discuss all of that as you so want to do. If we get more to share for Atomic Heart, know we will share it all here. Just please keep on checking back for all of those updates and everything else we can offer up out there.
