A Collector’s Edition for Alone In The Dark is ready for pre-order to try to raise that Alone In The Dark experience
Teasing is done for Alone In The Dark and now we know what was on the way to us all with the announcement of a Collector’s Edition of the game. Specifically, a limited collector’s edition of the game since we will only be seeing 5,000 of these things as THQ Nordic has been crazy about doing with all of their games as of late. All to better show off the work that Pieces Interactive has done to bring the universe of Alone In The Dark back into our lives on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Also to give us a few more creepy real-world things to have about our homes for the Spooky Season or in general if you think it is Spooky Season all year. Like yours truly.
Obviously, this version of Alone In The Dark will come with the game, but worth noting since we have seen other collector’s editions not share the game with it. It will also come with a ten-inch statue of The Dark Man from the game, a four-inch mini of the Ostadte monster, a bunch of stickers, Steelbook that glows in the dark, a door hanger, and all of the DLC that is planned for the game already. Most of it looks like it will be cosmetics for Alone In The Dark, but we could see more chapters added in. We do have a nice little prologue demo to experience that is its own thing right now, so it feels like we could see more of that and a longer state down the line.

Depending on the price, which as of this article was not listed, I can see this being a fun little thing for the hardcore fan of Alone In The Dark to have out there, but the video does make it feel like some of these are low quality. Like, the statue looks like it is 3D printed based on seeing what looks like layer lines and the door hanger looks like a basic paper print with a bit of twine on it. That could be just how the video shows it all and the final version could be different, but it is not anything that “wows” me here. I am also not the largest fan of the IP where I feel like I need these things to enhance my Alone In The Dark experience. Take that all as you will and spend your money as you wish, though.
Did you think we were going to have a bigger showing for Alone In The Dark after the teasing or was it all to give us this collector’s edition announcement? Do these items look like they are top-quality or do they look a little low-end for your tastes? Will the DLC coming along be worth it in general or will they be things the general audience will get further down the line anyway? Take to the comments and then feel free to discuss it all as you so wish. We will have more for Alone In The Dark on the site here, so please keep checking in for all of those updates and many, many more.
