Tekken 8 has one more fighter show up in the mix during the foray recently for the Tekken IP we just had
While not generally the biggest focus for Bandai Namco out at SDCC this year, they did have a little bit to offer up for Tekken 8 with another character getting to join the ranks. The roster is getting rather large at this point and it does look like it will be vast once it lands on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. For now, we get to add Claudio Serafino to the growing list, as the character is back once more from Tekken 7 to join the fight. It is a newer character this time even if it is not a fully new character that we have been waiting to see announced along this path we have taken with it all. Little success for now.
As the joke in the headline suggests, Claudio is here and striking poses in the fight for Tekken 8. You can see it all in the following trailer we have for the character, but it is a bit over-the-top and leaves many openings for other fighters to take advantage of the situation. Even if they do not. It seems a little weird, which is saying something for the Tekken, that we are getting a fighter again that does not feel like they truly belong and need to just be broken. Maybe it will make more sense in the final build of it all, but it just seems a little odd to me for this one and I am not overly stoked once more. Seems to be the repeating story I keep having here.
Tekken 8 — Claudio Serafino Gameplay
It’s time to get Sirius ✨ Claudio Serafino will prevail in Tekken 8!
That all said and with you having a chance to watch the video for Tekken 8 now, it does feel like there is a heavier reliance on supernatural stuff in this game over what I remember from before. Sure, there were elements of it before, but most of the fighters used skill or technology to help out. Even if some of the tech used would normally end someone in a single hit, it still felt in place. Looking at Claudio and other characters again, it seems like there is a different thing going on in Tekken 8 using the other side of the coin. Maybe I am wrong and have been out of the loop for a while, which is a thing it could be. No matter the case, it is what it is and this is what we get.
Were you thinking about getting a Tekken 7 fighter back in here or is this just a way to link it to other elements the developers have been aiming for? Do you think there is more magic and supernatural stuff going on in the game now or is it a perfect blending and we are just looking into things too much? Will we ever get a fully new character in this title or will we have to wait longer for all of that? Head to the comments and let the world know what is on your mind for this one. We will share more for Tekken 8 as we get it all, so please keep a close eye on the site for that.
