A new pinball machine featuring Marvel’s Venom will be out at SDCC this year with the Venom symbiote changing the game a bit
I know it is not the news you normally hear from us here, but it is SDCC week and that means we are getting gaming from all walks of life to cover here, and this time it is for Marvel’s Venom and the new pinball machine that is on the way. A new machine from Stern Pinball that will not only highlight the character and some of the comic stories, but change things up a bit as it comes to the arcade machines. Well, unless you have the funds to buy your own Marvel’s Venom Pinball machine, then it is no longer just relegated to an arcade. That is a topic for another day and if you want to throw that disposable income our way, we would not mind holding onto that for you.
This new machine will have us looking at the role of Venom while selecting our own host. Depending on which host, the digital and physical game will alter to give a new experience. You can kind of see that in the following trailers for the game where we see different levels and areas activate on the machine after selecting the character we want. Eddie Brock, Flash Thompson, Gwen Stacy, and Miles Morales are a few that we will have to select from among all of the other symbiotes that cause trouble for Venom in the various stories from over the years. Including the famous Carnage, even if he seems to be more of the antagonist when all is said and done with the story coming in the pinball fun.
While knocking all of the balls around with Venom here, we will get to see how everyone is teaming up to try to stop Carnage from waking Knull and thus destroying the universe in the mix. Something that sounds like it would be hard to track, but there is the Insider Connected system that will be in the mix for the Venom pinball game. A system that will track your progress via a smart app and then allow you to share your scores and accomplishments with others in the community. These machines sure have gone through some leaps and bounds since the days of yore, have they not? Have a gander and see what is here and what you could also look at if you happen to be out at SDCC this week.
